They are. I played through Origins twice, on my third. On my second through Odyssey. 

 

Odyssey surprised me, It's the first time in a game that I actually wanted to walk places and just kinda enjoy the views. So much so that I walk anywhere within 300m from me.

Yeah odyssey is absolutely gorgeous. I play it in HDR and it makes the game just pop. Having good visuals and good gameplay is hard to find these days.

I'm playing Daksiders Warmastered right now, I really enjoy it.

In turn-based strategy game I really like Total War Shogun2, I hope that Total War: Three Kingdoms will live up to it.

How does Darksiders 2 compare? I got it from Humble but haven't tried it (Storage is at a premium).

I finished Darksiders Warmastered Edition, I think it's very good, it's a jewel, it's very well the story and the end, I started now to play Darksiders 2 Deathfinitive Edition, it incorporates new things like greater personalization of the character and the world is more open and more extensive, does not have level indicator of the NPC, then you can easily find a boss in a dungeon for which you are not ready yet and you can say "Then I come for you when you are ready". The fighting is more frenzied and intense than in the previous version. The dungeons are full of puzzles and complications to finish them, not only is killing NPC and move forward, I think it is a very entertaining game, but "for tastes the colors were tried".

Kingdoms of Amalur:  Reckoning - Fantastic RPG that is mostly linear but great story and open skill choosing.

Anthem looks real good right now. Though I have only played a few titles so I'm not all too familiar with PC games but I have heard bad things about EA....

I just hope Anthem isn't a disaster

Probably. When I click your link, then go to BUY, it takes me to a subscription screen for Origin.  Under that is a small gray box to just buy the game and it's $4.99 for me.
