It's just a ticking bomb Tesla made for themselves. Many new cars from big manufactures like GM, Ford, and BMW have autonomous functionality that works similarly to Tesla's but they don't forcefully shove it in your face and call it autopilot, they do have heinous shit like BMW subscription heated seats but that's another discussion.  So the once shining star of autopilot EV stagnated and the competition is silently overlapping them while they continue to struggle

Something doesn't add up. It's estimated there are 5 billion users on the internet. https://www.statista.com/statistics/617136/digital-population-worldwide/

So you are telling me Oracle has details about every single user on the internet???
I suspect a large majority of the data is horseshit but there's so much of it the profits overlook the quality

BuckGup got a reaction from Needfuldoer in US Student Loans Cancelled (Up to $20,000*). What are you buying?
Because life isn't fair. It has nothing to do with punishing someone for paying their debt. Paying your debt is a good principle and you only labeled it as a slap in the face once this came out, hence the hindsight part. Otherwise you would be showing off how you paid all your debt as a good thing. Also not to get political but it actually lowers inflation as people are now spending money on things that benefit the economy instead of useless interest on loans that only makes the bank money.

You're complaining about others getting benefits that you think you deserve more yet you paid off your debt. That's Boomer logic bro. Things progress forwards and you happened to pay off your loans right at the cut off point. But you should be happy for others and optimistic instead of old and bitchy

Some of the more off topic posts removed. I'm bit tempted to leave them, just to show why we have such strict line with politics.

This threads premise was in line with any thread titled "what are you getting with your tax returns". If you re-read OP, it doesn't say one gets $10k right away. It just says one's monthly available funds will increase. So patronising posts (left up) are rather pointless. So are any posts talking about military spending (removed). None of that is relevant.

The argument to be made here is that the "ROI" is not strictly a financial return. A well educated citizen highly benefits society in a huge number of ways, beyond their earning ability. Yes, even if that person gets a "useless" degree (Liberal Arts, etc) that doesn't land them a high paying job.

The idea behind this is that higher education provides massive benefits to a person, especially in the form of critical thinking and research skills, among other things.

Plus there's merit to the idea of having a well rounded education in many fields, even if you're not going to specialize in those fields with employment.

Yes, the tax payers usually have to foot the bill in those kinds of systems where education is "free". And yes, at least some of those students should ideally go on to graduate and earn a lot of money to pay taxes - but it's not inherently bad if some of those students don't go on to earn high incomes. Especially considering there are jobs out there that are very important, require higher education, but pay kind of shit.

Anyway TL;DR, it's not always just about money.

Yes but there is a separation between repeat community supporters and trying to get as many views as possible. You can't realistically account for clickbait tactics as it's not sustainable. It's not actually your audience, you've only convinced someone to click the video.

It might seem backwards since more views = more $$$, which from a business perspective is great. But things aren't as cut and dry and I worry Linus has now dug a large hole and keeps digging.

The LTT community on Reddit now translates the titles and adds a description for each video because of how bad the clickbait is.

Why is the price of the equipment relevant? No one cares Linus has a lot of money and likes spending a lot of money. It's Linus Tech Tips, not Canadian man gloats to internet about spending money for clickbait to make more money.

If the sole reason of clickbait is to increase revenue it's counterproductive as you always have to spend more to one up the previous claim. Otherwise it's the boy who cried wolf, if it's not that already.

Youtubers like Mr. Beast can get away with using money as that's what his content revolves around. But it's just really weird if a company posted a job and used their $4M AC unit and $400k for repaving their parking lot as a selling point to get you to work there. It's the value it brings to you not the actual monetary value.

A better way to do the DNS is to use DNS conditional forwarding on your actual DNS server, and only forward the cacheable domains to lancache. This way, users won't be left without internet if lancache goes down, and you can still have your normal primary/secondary DNS servers.
We use Windows servers for our DNS and I have scripts that automatically generate the powershell commands to add all the lancache conditional forwarders.
