aakopa reacted to simtransporter in Microsoft LifeCam Studio vs Microsoft LifeCam Studio for Business
I looked into this a while back, I think the difference is the packaging.... I think the normal one comes in a full retial package while the business one comes in a simpler package with fewer items. I could be wrong.

aakopa got a reaction from Taf the Ghost in (UPDATED - Claim has been removed) The Linux Gamer's response video to LTT got claimed by Fullscreen
LMG is not part of AT&T even indirectly. They have a business relationship where LMG basically buys a management service from Fullscreen and in return Fullscreen displays ads on their videos and handles copyright stuff.

aakopa got a reaction from Turtle Rig in Which GPU to match the Xbox One X
Well Xbox One X has Polaris gpu paired with that Jaguar processor, so it's not that old gpu wise.

aakopa got a reaction from mrchow19910319 in Why did you buy an iPhone?
I use iPhone SE because it was at the time of purchase (and still is) the only small and powerful phone (small phone being under 4.5 inches here). iOS has all the apps I need so I have been very happy with it. Though when this phone kicks the dust I will probably get an Android device, the lack of headphone jack on the newer ones is a deal breaker.

aakopa reacted to KarathKasun in Why do people still buy MS Office?
Its the industry standard, that is why.
Also, Microsoft Access.
Third, Google docs is trash if you need to print anything and Google sheets SUCKS if you need to do any advanced scripting.

aakopa reacted to Enderman in Why do people still buy MS Office?
Because plenty of people actually do real work that requires a standard professional program like word, excel, or latex.
These programs have far more features than google's options, and are industry standard.
If someone sends you a word document and you edit it with google docs, when you export it as docx things can shift around and look different when you reopen it in word.

aakopa got a reaction from Fasauceome in Best AM3+ CPU?
I would decide between 8370 and 9590 if you want the best. 9590 has TDP around 200w and will burn your board if it's not ready for it. 8370 should work on almost all of the boards as it has way lower TDP.

aakopa got a reaction from J.b091 in Linux users! Why Linux?
It's not like thinkpads are any more reasonably priced than macbooks. Nicely specced T480s costs almost as much as macbook pro 13" with similar specs at least here in Finland.

aakopa got a reaction from DrMacintosh in Apple's new USB security feature has a major flaw
Companies act in the interest of their owners, so if the tactic they currently use is more profitable in long term and short term they choose that instead of admitting flaws etc.

aakopa reacted to NinJake in 1080ti Triple 4k monitors? (NOT FOR GAMES)
for triple 4k monitors you'll be fine even with a gtx 1060 6gb. It's only when you start gaming where you'll run into frame issues.

aakopa reacted to mynameisjuan in Rumour: Intel Core 9000 series to get more threads
Just an FYI but intel is a business, not your friend. If the competitors are sucking ass and they can avoid releasing products until their competitors bother and save money on new manufacturing equipment, so what. Want them to say they are sorry or something? Its a business, get over it.

Intel has made modems for iPhones for few generations at least right?

That read number is off, should be 10x higher. At least if that result is in MB/s

aakopa got a reaction from FoxAxe in How long will gtx 1080 last me (estimate)
I can still run modern games with high settings with my 7970, I think 780 should do better than that.

aakopa got a reaction from Chaos_Sorcerer in AMD Ryzen Threadripper and Ryzen 3 Product Updates (Threadripper price reveal)
So no 10 core , I was really hoping to see one and get it for around 550$ to 600$, 799$ for the 12 core one is just too much for me.

aakopa got a reaction from McHox in Planning on buying a new GPU....
I don't see 1080 ti as that bad of purchase even for 1080p gaming, as it will last for the next 5-6 years maxing out all the games, so you wouldn't need to upgrade.

aakopa reacted to The Sloth in PC gamers are second class gamers
Devs will care about the platform that makes the most money.
not just PC, generally that feature is rare to find even Halo 5( after bungee left i stopped caring about Halo games) abandoned it.
i personally have HTPC for playing games like fire watch, Life is strange or a Ps4 pro for games like Last of us, me and my wife usually play story driven games together, i personally like the switch more than any console in the market because of its multiplayer support.
