Which GPU to match the Xbox One X

IAmAndre

Hi,

As many of you probably noticed, there are interesting sales currently and although this wasn't planned, I'm considering upgrading my GTX 750. I'm not a huge gamer anymore and I'm actually still playing AC Brotherhood and will start Bioshock 2 and Far Cry 3 soon LOL. The only recent games I play are sports titles and this GPU is enough to run FIFA 19 at Max settings in full HD at over 60 FPS. I also have a PS4 for more demanding games.

That said, I'm seeing the RX 570 8GB at under $150 and I'm considering buying it after all. Now there are many other cards on sale so I'm curious to know how it stacks up against the PS4 Pro and Xbox one X and which GPUs are the minimum required to match or outperform these consoles .

Thanks

The Xbox One X or PS4 have a older generation video card and a much weaker CPU. That 570 8GB is a good bang for the buck and will probably out perform the Xbox.  What CPU do you have ?  Can you fill in your signature so we can help you more.

Actually I'm upgrading my PC and I currently have a Ryzen 5 2600 and 16Gb of RAM in my cart. I originally planned on ordering this weekend but I've been advised to wait an extra week .

Wrong. They use completly different chips from the pc parts. They use amd jaguar series (meant for cars I thought).

If I remember correctly the raw power of Xbox One X is around the RX 480 or 580. PS4 Pro is slighly slower.

Oh wow, your CPU was holding you back, but not with the Ryzen 5.  You should notice big improvements and sustain at 60fps.

Good information man, I just meant its old technology but ya its not like there is a physical PC video card inside a console.  Its all custom non pc sh*T.. so ya your right Luke.  Good Post.

Well Xbox One X has Polaris gpu paired with that Jaguar processor, so it's not that old gpu wise.

That's quite a good deal, I would definitely go for it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

This thread is sorta funny.  Everyone says something different about what CPU and GPU xbox has. At the end of the day its a console and whatever the fak it has in there is old and much slower then today's technology.

They do not. The Xbox One X (2560-core, higher count than RX 580) and PS4 Pro (2304-core, same count as RX 580) use semi-custom Polaris-based GPUs, the Xbox One S uses a 768-core GCN 2 GPU (possibly an R7 260) and the PS4 Slim uses a 1152-core GCN 2 GPU (custom, possibly a fully unlocked Bonaire core or something else).
