The goal would be to make Linus so toxic that people don't want him or his company involved in them. IE: If people cancel their framework orders, framework would need to distance from him / force him to sell his shares / dilute him out.

I'm not saying whether I support it or not, frankly I don't care, but I kinda get it? Especially because if you buy a Framework product, and they do well, Linus is going to profit off that.

But maybe that's all going a bit too far, but at the same time people putting their money with their mouth is, is better than just ranting on a forum and changing absolutely nothing. Least they have some convinctions!

So your stance is that even if LTT allowed an employee to be bullied and harassed, they're the victim here because they're being held to account for it when they're going through a tough time?

As multiple people have tried to explain in this thread, the reason why there is sometimes a deluge effect of many victims coming forward at once in situations like this is because individuals (often correctly) think nobody will believe their allegations about a popular figure or company until something happens to make the public look at that figure or company in a different light.

Such a puzzler why one of the only female employees and the youngest, newest employee might have been treated differently and have a different view of a company than two older, male, long-time employees. 🤔

Thanks for the concern everyone. We are still in recovery mode over here and working with YouTube to get everything restored. Will hopefully have a video (or at least an update on WAN Show) to share with you all ASAP, but we want to make sure we get the details right since smaller channels may rely on our experience to help harden their own security.

I think that there could be an arguement on that account is for his personal opinions the team that works with sponsors is separate from the writers and he didn't say those words in the ad so it's less a reflection of him and more so that LMG corporately likes the money they can get from MSI when advertising a 4080 even if the CEO thinks it's a bad purchase.

Think this was perhaps one of the most useless videos I've ever seen on this channel.

    - Single Channel Memory?
    - Pointless talking about parts which didn't work together? Did you legit just read out what you attempted as an attempt to extend the video minutes? Why do we need to know what you did behind the scenes with weirdo chinese parts?
    - All used parts, like you even said it yourself, the graphics card looked like it game from a mining rig.
    - Fire hazard motherboard???????
    - "our initial plans didn't work, so we got lazy and just used a old process from the warehouse"????

Feels like genuinely out of ideas shit here. And I feel like I see this kind of video every now and then. Which might explain also why I'm exhausted with seeing the same old same old.

This does absolutely nothing for the notion of buying used in order to get parts in. Why don't you just accept the consoles are genuinely a good deal instead of steering customers towards hardware failure.

Actually, this is an insanely good point to make. I always assumed these 250 dollar devices were doing the processing, but all it does is just pick up a video feed.

Why not go into how you can setup an NGINX RTMP Capture feed on a network and just pass that in. I used to use an old x5530 server on eBay, cost me £150, had 2 processors and 64GB of ram, loaded the thing up and just set it to encode my video feed from my main pc (Which pushed via OBS) to this server and then onto twitch. Was an amazing solution and worked 10x better than these capture cards. (For the situation, as Linus said Cameras etc will be different)

I am kind of disappointed that they did not address the elephant in the room and the thing that every gamer wants those cards to do but actually they dont... ok to be fair linus swiftly mentioned it when the referred to capture devices that record to a memory card for like a couple of seconds.

None of those expensive devices does the video processing on its own... it works only as a bridge from your video source to your computer.

Meaning when you game your computer performance (FPS for example) is going to take a hit simply because CPU resources are redirected towards processing the video from your capture card...

It is essentially not that useful since most gamers I know or see on forums want to buy such a card exactly so that they avoid having their CPU resources drained from OBS for example...

while the reality is that its the same thing as using a capturing software like OBS only difference is that you have to pay for a capture card...

either by using software to capture your gaming session or using this card there is no critical difference in terms of how much your system is going to suffer for processing the video of the game you try to capture.

And its not only that Linus doesn't mention this what disappointed even more is that the "after taste" of this video is that "hey if you are a gamer you may want his, its shipped with gamer PCs as well and prices are ok for full HD... "

It makes much more sense to buy a more expensive CPU and avoid a capture card or even buy a cheap 2nd computer and just use that to capture your videos.

Okay, I don't like how this video didn't have sponsored in the title. Whereas on Floatplane they do, seems like Floatplane users have that choice of avoiding no doubt because they're paying a fee for content and don't want to watch ads, whereas the youtube plebs even though I pay for YouTube red am not being informed what is an Ad on the channel or not until I've clicked it. That tells me more about the content right there, the fact that Floatplane users seem to have this allowance of skippability whereas youtube users are no doubt baited. Like, there was a decision at a higher level here to go, Put this as ponsored, this as non-sponsored until they click the video and we get that click/view.

You guys could do really well with this in just reviewing the Monday.com platform, if you use it like you say you use it, then do it in a normal LTT way, obviously since it's being used by you, an endorsement from you goes a long way rather than this obviously planned skit video. LTT sells content, I know what you guys do I know your workflow and I know how hard it is, instead I got a video of Riley going across the internet taking in all the news possible firing them into a doc and calling it job done, like, wow great.

I'm really interested in mangers like this for in work, it's a big factor of my job to review platforms like this and see if we could be doing things better. This "different feeling" to everything else that you guys produce content doesn't sell me on it. It tells me that you are either hiding something or doing it for the dollar rather than being straight up.

Which I get, you have to do. Maybe it isn't selling to me, but your audience having someone like me in it, which I feel is trying to sell to me, I mean it's a bunch of gamers, kids and enthuiests right? Who has the power in their workplace to change project management platforms, not many. If you want to keep doing this type of content, fair enough, let me know so I can skip it, else simply put I'm not a fan of being snaked like this so I will stop watching.

Really, these videos just aren't my cup of tea, so I do skip over them. It seems obvious if I want to do that, I need to shell out for floatplane to do so. Maybe I'm the only one on this, but the number of times I've felt like this watching a video is only increasing, and I know you've had posts like mine on multiple videos before but it feels like either no one is listening or no one cares. You've got a ton of staff members and need to pay the bills. Somehow that's our fault and we now need to skip videos of yours we feel will be ads because you aren't telling us in the title.
