I think probably there are bad sectors on your drive, you'd better back up important data.
By the way, you can use CrystalDiskInfo to test it's current status, you can also use minitool partition software to test whether it has bad sectors.

What are you using it for?

If its just copying files, id just get the dual core, if your running plugins get the quadcore

Kidsnd274 reacted to Dujith in Possible to ground TV with two-pin plug?
Even with no ground the TV should not give you a shock, ussualy its down to poor quality of an attached device that has its earth and common connected (which should not happen)

You should be able to ground the TV via the cable (aerial, or digital) by either doing it low tech an wind a wire around it and to an earth contact or get a aerial connector and just wire the shield part and connect that to an earth.

But first rule out anything hooked up to the TV first.

Ugh what are you doing Galax? Creating a single slot GTX 1070 that overheats all the time and call that 'ready for sale', then not produce a single slot 1060, 1050ti and 1050. What the F is wrong with you?

The only slim GTX 1050Ti cards that I could find were from Inno3D and Elsa.

Advanced Options cost alot of FPS in GTA5. Make sure to reduce them.

I would say PC. I hear it had a rocky launch, but there is an unofficial patch that fixes the game, therefore making it superior to the console version.

The days of PC games largely being significantly cheaper than console games are long over. I watch PC and PS4 sales like a hawk, and Nier is generally the same price for both, even on sale. Mid $40s.

I was all set to get Nier on the PC, but the botched launch held me back. Once I heard the PS4 largely ran at a stable 60FPS, I grabbed it for $48 and I don't regret it.

I'd recommend you grab it when it hits a price you're comfortable paying.

Check your CPU usage in games. If it's 100% then it's bottlenecking. My i7-4770 is bottlenecking me in Watch Dogs 2 and BF1, dropping frames from 100+ to 50 at times...
If CPU is not the problem, check if something is preventing ur frames from going up. Check GPU usage and see if it's 100% and using its full potential. I would also try deleting and resetting the configs for some of the games to see if that helps. Also, check if you have any power saving features turned on. Although it's not a laptop, the power saver plan might have been set for some random reason.

Kidsnd274 reacted to DrMikeNZ in Opinions on the Zotac GTX 1070 Mini
Considering the Zotac 1070 mini is the 12th GPU when searching google images for "Zotac GTX 1070 Mini" you can be forgiven.
Google cannot be forgiven for showing the gigabyte card 6 times before the Zotac, and Zotac cannot be forgiven for poorly naming their card.

Hey. Try downloading and running this app called whocrashed. This app analyses the memory dump and gives you a detailed report of what caused the problem.

Kidsnd274 reacted to TidaLWaveZ in Having problems with Remote Desktop Connection
I'm not sure what your settings for remote desktop are but if you try this and it works, then the issue is probably authentication related.

On the Host pc (the one you are remoting into)

Right click my computer/this pc and click properties
In the left pane of the window, click on remote settings
Click the radio button to Allow connections from computers running any version of remote desktop (less secure)

Now try to remote in and see if it works.
