  1. Yeah they did mention that. Sucks that they removed some of the really useful features though, but I need some of the new features like CPU Voltage offset that's only available in the new BIOS.
  2. Hey guys, need some help. CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X Motherboard: MSI X470 GAMING PLUS (MS-7B79) I updated my BIOS today so that I could undervolt the CPU, but it seems like the BIOS update has somehow made the ASmedia USB controller disappear. It is not in device manager and no devices seem to work when I connect to it. There is power but I've tried plugging in a mouse, a HDD and it doesn't seem to work. Right now I'm running version 7B79vAC and I was running 7B79vA6 before that. I've tried updating my chipset driver (both from AMD's website and MSI support) and both
  3. In the end, used this program called RaiDrive to mount it. More info in DM.
  4. I have no HDDs right now (still being delivered) so I can't tell if it manages to POST.
  5. Hi, I just received my NAS and it comes with 2GB of DDR3L 1600MHz RAM. I have 2 sticks of 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz RAM and was thinking if its compatible with the NAS. It's a QNAP TS-251+
  6. Thinking about these 2. There is quite a big price difference between the two at least on amazon. Just wanted to know how much would the upgrade from a dual core to quad core affect real world performance? Also, I noticed that the P2 can support upgrading RAM (I have SODIMM kits lying around) and additional expansion drive things, and was wondering how much would that affect upgradability. Is the extra cost worth it? Also anyone else that can recommend good NAS for around the TS-231P's price level with better hardware, that's welcome too.
  7. Getting these errors randomly on my computer for quite a while when trying to accessing some of my files. It does not happen to only one particular drive and can happen to multiple at a time. It's quite annoying as I have to restart my computer to be able to access those files. The full error is "(some directory) is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." These are the events I found in the event log. The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: I:, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolum
  8. Hi, was wondering if I could ground my TV. It comes with a 2-pin plug and it has been constantly giving me a shock. Usually when I disconnect or connect a device, I accidentally touch the metal part of the HDMI connector and I will receive a shock. I know that HDMI does carry a small current but this also applies to other connections. For example, if I wanted to charge my PS4 controller and I accidentally touch the metal part of the Micro USB, I receive a shock (through the HDMI that is connected between the TV and PS4). Also trying to connect a USB drive to an Android TV box,
  9. Hi, I have mapped my OneDrive storage as a network drive on a Windows 10 computer. From what I've read it uses WebDAV to make this happen. However, I have not been able to transfer large files (200-500MB) onto OneDrive using this method. After transferring it would return with a message saying that the file could not be located or found even though it is still in place there. I have already increased the file size limit using this support page (https://support.microsoft.com/en-ph/help/2668751/you-cannot-download-more-than-50-mb-or-upload-large-files-when-the-upl) Help would be
  10. If I were to buy a new CPU, I would have to replace the motherboard and RAM. It is a very costly upgrade. Of course it would make sense for me to try to get as much juice as possible from my current CPU. And my mistake, I thought I wasn't gonna overclock because I was uncomfortable with it years ago. I will buy a K skew this time.
  11. I'm also just stress testing to find out the max turbo I can reach. There are reasons why someone would stress test even a locked processor, maybe a change in cooler to test its performance. You might say the stock cooler is enough but in a hot country like mine, a non-stock one would allow the processor to turbo even further because of temperature. Why do you have a problem with me asking this question...
  12. I am facing some bottlenecks in games and I want to pull out as much as possible from this processor. I was able to turbo all cores to 3.88 GHz in the past before under AIDA64.
  13. Hi guys, I was able to run an AIDA64 stress test on a i7-4770 non-K cpu and get all cores boosted to 3.88 GHz before. Now, it is only boosting until 3.67 GHz. I have resetted BIOS settings and temperatures are around 70 degrees under load. Any idea why?
  14. Actually found out the power supply is a TFX PSU, so might be upgrading that. So I just need to find a single slot card since there's not alot of room. It was housing a GT 620 before.
