The 8gb 3060ti should be fine. At 1080p most games use under that anyway.
Cyberpunk is really badly optimised right now. The drivers are not optimised and the game is not either. I swear WWZ or TOW look much better bur runs around 100fps on max settings compared to 60 at cyperbunk on my pc.

just buy the stuff and be happy now instead of waiting and worrying about the crystal ball

trapsy reacted to xg32 in what will last longer?
just look at cyberpunk, doesn't even use that much vram, but sure can use more horsepower from the 3060ti

Oh boy, busting out the crystal ball again:
Wait, I think I see something:
Well, not sure how my crystal ball turned into a fortune cookie but they're equally good at telling the future. Though, the cookie has a point. Buy the graphics card that's better now because NOBODY can say what 3 years from now will look like.

trapsy reacted to LauRoman in cpu fan spins but no post
You should see if you connected all the power connectors properly (cpu and 24 pin) and ram. Check that the cmos pins are not shorted (see the manual). Maybe disconnect the power button and restart button connector and use a screwdriver or something to short the power button pins (usually lableled something similar to pw sw) to start the machine. That last one once happened to me and it took me a day to pinpoint the culprit, because it was something i never check.

trapsy reacted to Oswin in better choice of ssd
the A2000 is the better drive, the sn550 is dramless. though what are you using them for and what are they priced at?

trapsy reacted to zachsa999 in which ssd would go with my motherboard?
Looks like your best bet would be a pcie gen 3 M.2 storage device.
You might also want a heatsink on it, My intel NVME gets pretty toasty without one.

trapsy got a reaction from Mateyyy in which would be the best psu for me
enermax, seasonic and antec earthwatts is not sold anywhere in india. as for the corsair cx series, its currently out of stock on both amazon as well as other online retailers without any assurance of availability. and in order to get the products shipped to india i have to pay 120% premium without any option of claiming warranty

Probably the MWE White v2 out of that bunch, but I wouldn't personally pair any of those with a 3060/3070.
I know you said "don't recommend other PSUs" but honestly I think you should go for something like a 5700XT or whatever's cheaper and get a proper PSU that's not meant just for basic, budget builds.

if its this specific model that you are getting. then this is a decent pick.
the MWE 80+ white V2.

thank you. then i'm going for the cooler master. i do not care about power efficiency that much. i just want my components to be safe.

trapsy reacted to PyroTheWise in what psu should i get
I run a Ryzen 5 3600, 2070 Super, 32GB ram on a 550W PSU. Your system should also work with a 550W as well. It will not hurt anything if you want to use a 650 Watt PSU.
I am no PSU expert so I can't really say which one is better than the others. I use a CV550M in my system.

trapsy reacted to Dedayog in best budget cooling
24/7 doesn't matter and means basically nothing. CPU's hit max temp they're going to hit within seconds of being under load. Unless your room has no airflow and would heat up over time to life threatening temps.. you're fine.
The stock CPU with the 3600 handles it just fine. You don't need an aftermarket cooler when not overclocking.

trapsy reacted to SupaKomputa in which is better for the future
There's a lot of cheaper mobo option on the AMD side.
You don't need B550/X570 for now, B450 will do, at least can it handle 4000.
-
trapsy reacted to Tan3l6 in which is better for the future
With 3600 you could use same board, given you choose B450 or B550 or X570 board now, to upcoming Ryzen 4000 series, that might be the best thing since sliced cheese.

trapsy reacted to gloop in which is better for the future
Yes, it will as the 3600 is unlocked and has higher clocks.
Id suggest waiting for Zen3 though.

trapsy reacted to Haro in which is better for the future
Don't get a locked Intel chip. Especially that one.
If you're only limited to these two. 3600.
-
trapsy reacted to boggy77 in which is better for the future
in current games, they perform the same. in future games, it's likely the 3600 will be better.
-
trapsy reacted to Chris Pratt in which is better for the future
Depends on the game. For games that still prioritize single core perf, then yes, the more clocks the better. For games that are optimized for multi-core, it matters less, if at all.

trapsy reacted to Haro in which is better for the future
To put it simply. Out of the box. They'll perform similarly. But the 3600
Is.
Unlocked consumes less power. Has a better platform. And will be significantly better in the future.
