Maybe your drive is not formatted correctly, or you have a broken USB port. You might want to try remaking the install media or trying a new flash drive. You can try a BIOS update, but you will need a USB stick working to do that. Good luck!

A 3970x should NEVER be  paired with a 1660s. That is a $1800 cpu. Also, it is bad value unless you need all of the cores.
I am just kidding, I know you aren't talking about a threadripper.

The gl75 leopard 17 in looks good. It has a 2070 and a 17 inch screen, and is on promo at Newegg for $1300.

The CTO,  Matjaž Škorjanc, is a convicted hacker who ran a hacking forum and created a botnet. After getting out of jail, he helped start NiceHash. He might have turned himself around, but I wouldn't count on it. Nicehash would be a very good botnet.

I don't know. ARM may become common in laptops soon, but I doubt it will be popular in desktops for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time (due to power efficiency not mattering much for desktop).

Why are you going Intel in the first place? A 5900x/5800x would deliver better gameing and productivity profomance.

x86 is not that power efficient and has been lagging behind a bit in the generation to generation performance uplift that apple's arm chips do. Do you think there will be a point (and when) where Intel and AMD will stop making x86 chips and start making ARM ones. Are there going to be hybrid chips with a few arm cores and a few x86 cores? Curious what the forum thinks.

Mining cards don't need much bandwidth and can run off 1x slots. It won't be a problem for mining.

Unless you have multiple pcie 4.0 storage devices, use the B550. B550 only has 1 4.0 nvme slot.

thepoorgamer got a reaction from King of Memes in 8-year Old Becomes Professional FortNite Player
I don't think any 8 year old should have to worry about winning tournaments and making money. Also, what happens if he starts doing this full time at 16 and drops out because "I'm making 100k a year what could go wrong school gets in the way" and Fortnite becomes uncool a few years later and he has no actual skills other than being really good at 1 game. I don't see anything wrong with young kids playing Fortnite, but I don't think they should be doing it professionally until they are at least 16 and have a requirement to stay and do well in school.

thepoorgamer got a reaction from Kerbalino in [Raspberry Pi 4 Model B] 4 or 8 GB RAM model?
I have a 4gb, and have never used all the ram unless I’m trying to watch YouTube on it (something I never do). Honestly, I wish I bought the 2gb, as I use my raspi for emulation. The CPU will bottleneck you before you will be able to use 8gb of RAM (and maybe 4 also). I think the 4 would be a better option unless you have $20 to blow.
