No issues, glad we could be of service! 🙂 Maybe this older server needs more amps/watts and that was juicing out the ups. Anyways, good luck with your future endeavors.

The old C client cannot be used with 6.7 or 6.5 beyond U1. Since version 6.5U2 the webUI isn't using flash anymore but full HTML5.
Features specific to 6.0 and beyond are also not available when not using the webUI, so this is a good time to switch.

Keep in mind you should do the upgrade to 6.5/6.7 with the specific HPE custom image from VMware, don't use the generic update
tooling i.e. via SSH, as you'll miss out on some HPE specific drivers and fixes.

Thank you! I actually read somewhere about the ILO causing issue. I wonder what fault could have hit the ILO. I'll check and get back with you.

I love Windows 7. I still have it running on my Lenovo X1 carbon. I have Windows 10 on my gaming rig but I have a 2008R2 DC and Windows 7 client in my lab. Lot's of Enterprises still run 2008, 2008R2 and Windows 7. We upgraded everyone to Windows 10 a couple years ago, but most of our servers are still 2008R2.

The last time I tried one of these, I got countless errors. But I'll give it a try on a VM. I wonder if it breaks more with each Windows 10 Feature Update.

Back in Windows 7 days, I used MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials). Since Windows 10, I just use Windows Defender. If you are smart on the internet you don't need to worry. I would also recommend an adblocker to stop popup ads etc.

I think that was the culprit... I knew I messed up a line of code. Sometimes two sets of eyes makes the difference! Just have to make sure I can get to the WebUI from each respected VLAN.

    From the release notes:
"The initial release of the microcontroller code is still current and does not need to be upgraded. The PoE firmware version string will be kept updated to match the corresponding FastIron software version; however, this is only a cosmetic change, and the firmware itself remains unchanged. If a new version of the code is released, Brocade will notify its customers of the needed code upgrade."

The AP and switch should be able to do LLDP as well and, I could be wrong, but I believe you might need LLDP enabled for full power negotiation.
One other question, is the AP in "standalone" mode? What version of software are you running on it?

The forum has a good group of very network/server savvy people. brwainer is one of them. It's just a matter of the others finding your post. I don't know the backgrounds of them all so I can't point out any one with in depth knowledge of CISCO equipment though.

Change 1/1/1 vlan 110 to tagged.
Can you try to update to a newer Ruckus ICX firmware? They got rid of dual mode and generally improved the setup of VLANs.

So if you attach a device off say port 1/1/45 you are unable to get a lease? Are you able to reach the gateway if you statically set it int the 10.1.48.0/24 range?

Side note, not familiar with Dual mode. I would assume this is like a typical trunk/native

On the watchguard interface VLAN settings, uncheck VLAN 1. You can’t use VLAN 1 (normally untagged traffic / default vlan on most hardware) on a VLAN interface in watchguard - or at least i’ve never seen it used that way.

EDIT: To be clear, you can use VLAN 1 on a VLAN interface, but it normally isn’t selected as tagged, which is what you have done. You have to apply VLAN 1 to the interface as untagged, which is done from the separate selection “Send and receive untagged traffic...” at the bottom of the window.

Dual mode is something AFAIK unique to Brocade. Its like tagged and untagged at the same time. The port will accept traffic already tagged as 110, and also convert incoming untagged traffic to 110.
