Those are motherboard standoffs, not m.2 standoffs. Normally the m.2 standoffs and screw are aluminum colored and not painted black or brass. They're also individually packages so they will be alone all by themselves in the packing with nothing but the stand off and screw.
Ah alrighty, haven't seen any aluminum things outside of one screw that didn't work. Might've just came with 1 set (which is used by another drive), even thought there's like 3 slots. Haven't seen anything anywhere I store my spare parts

I'm pretty sure there's a Metric and an Imperial threading for them, but I forget specifics. With all the boards I've used M.2 drives on (which granted, are mostly limited to ASRock and ASUS boards) the screws have been interchangeable though. You might just have an oddball motherboard that doesn't work with it. Speaking of which, what board do you have, and if you have the original accessories pack are there M.2 screws that came with it?
I got an Asus x470 prime. After I finished building it, I threw the remaining screws and stuff in with the hardware from the case. Like they're in their originals bags, in with the rest of the case stuff (some loose, others bagged).
What I tried using

You can buy m.2 mounting hardware and screws off Amazon for cheap. Also, the motherboard is what the screws come with, not the drives.
3 minutes ago, RONOTHAN## said:I mean, I can't really tell a reason why it wouldn't be viable and I have personally done it for quick and dirty testing of M.2 drives, but with how cheap you can get mounting hardware why not just do it? I could be wrong and not having the right amount of tension on the pins can cause issues down the road with stability.
thank you both.
are mounting holes universal on all motherboards? I do have stand offs and screws that fit them, but I couldn't get them to fit in the holes

Hey all! Got a new m.2 drive, but it didn't come with a screw for installation and I couldn't find mounting hardware in my shitmix of screws and hardware. Taped it down, but tape failed. Windows is still detecting it while it's sticking out. Is this viable long term?

Have you enabled "connect automatically" for the wifi on the phone?
Yes. Most of the time it will connect automatically, but sometimes it won't

I have a problem. A Samsung A51 (android 10) isn't reconnecting to my home wifi when it disconnects. I don't believe it never reconnects, rather it's random (sometimes it will, sometimes it won't). The phone definitely sees the network, but it won't connect automatically. It will if I go into settings and connect manually. The router/modem/isp box thing is a Shaw Hub or something. I've done nothing to the Samsung in the router settings. I'm not too sure what is causing this, but any help would be appreciated. I've racked my brains but haven't found what exactly the problem is, nor a solution.

The changes will come into affect with Audacity 3.0
That is an important detail. Thankfully as Audacity is open source, people have forked the current version which won't have the tracking

Summary
John McAfee, creator of the antivirus, has been found dead in his Spanish prison cell. This is days after Spanish courts ruled in favour of extraditing McAfee to the US on tax evasion charges with crypto.
Quotes
QuoteJohn McAfee, the creator of the McAfee antivirus software, has been found dead in his cell in a jail near Barcelona, a government official told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Hours earlier, a Spanish court issued a preliminary ruling in favor of the 75-year-old tycoon’s extradition to the United States to face tax-related criminal charges.
Security personnel at the Brians 2 penitentiary near the northeastern Spanish city tried to revive him, but the jail’s medical team finally certified his death, a statement from the regional Catalan government said.
My thoughts
This is honestly surprising for me, for no other reason than I didn't know he was in trouble with the law. It does make sense though, like cmon, only a criminal would make something like McAfee.

Hey all, I think it's time I get a pair of wireless ear buds as I need a pair now. I have not been keeping up with much in tech recently, especially audio things so I need recommendations for what I should get. I'd be using them with a Pixel 5, when I'm sleeping or exercising or doing anything like that. For reasons, I need a pair with a reasonably good mic for calls (discord specifically, if that makes any difference). I don't have a preference for truly wireless vs not, just I need them low profile. As long as the sound quality isn't tinny, I don't have much of a preference, but the more neutral the sound signature the better. Also, battery life at least 8 hours is very preferable though not strictly required. Oh yeah, and all that for around 150 cad, though I would go for 250 if it was needed. Thanks.

There really is one or two posts that I would say is good, or that I'm proud of. That is my privacy guide. Even then, there's a lot of problems with it

@Den-Fi I know I've been kind of a dick to you and everything, and been annoying and everything. Sorry for that. But I do want to say you've been great to have around. Genuinely a great guy, and I'm glad to have met you. As you said about 'chew and how she is the type of person you meet very rarely (she truly is), you are that type of person. I have massive respect for you and what you have and will continue to make. Even though you'll probably be around for a while, I wanted to say this now cuz I probably will miss you going. Genuinely, thank you for sticking around as long as you did. I am glad to have met you

Aight thank you. Looked again through everything I have, didn't find anything like that. Probably lost it since I moved since I built the tower. Guess I'll bite the bullet and order from amazon. Thank you all
