Use the fast drives for what you want to speed up.

Your post talked more about separating things than any speed questions, but I boot off SATA SSD and game off SATA SSD.  NVMe won't give your OS faster booting,  so use any SSD for that.

Unless you do huge ass file movement NVMe doesn't provide a big benefit, it's okay to go either.

Honestly, in that build I'd see what the next gen looks like.

    What resolution?  Monitor?

Then anything 5700XT and up will do currently.

That 1070 is no slouch tho, so I'd still advocate waiting.

Not sure the fps increase from HDD to SSD.  Load times... oh yeah. FPS?  Not really.

@Im Weeb, think of it like bought a larger car with a bigger trunk.  Not a faster car, just one that can carry more each trip.  Since you're not loading the first car (6700) with enough stuff to make more than 1 trip, it's still more than enough.

Not sure who sold you on the 3800X, but I'd say you were not fully informed what you were getting.

I bought it myself, i'm a technician (Just came out of school) and i also did my previous build, i simply went according to CPU scores like a dummy without actually informing myself properly, it's pretty much an error on my part that is why i'm currently trying to inform myself on the matter since if i ever have friends or clients i don't want to misguide them.

That's because your previous CPU wasn't holding you back. Its cores are still fast and it has enough of them to keep up with modern games. Few titles actually use more than 8 threads.

You will notice a difference after you upgrade the 1070. That's what's holding you back right now.

Normal people can't wear out an SSD.  You need to 24/7 abuse them to even come close.

I honestly believe these are all good cases and you can't go wrong with any of them. So the biggest deciding factor for you should be looks/aesthetics.

My current build is in a Fractal Design Meshify-C, and I can really only say good things about it. Quality is excellent, cable management was a breeze, I love the minimalist design. The tinted windows looks awesome since you can only see your RGB through it. If I were to knock anything on the case it would be the way the tempered glass side panel is mounted. It simply uses four screws (one in each corner) instead of a hinge or latch mechanism for one side that a lot of other cases use. It makes taking it on/off a little awkward as you are juggling the crews and supporting the glass, but really once you finish building it you take it off so infrequently it doesn't bother me at all. It came with two case fans (both super quiet but I replaced them anyway). So I can easily recommend the Fractal but I dont have experience with the others.

    It's not an expansion, it's a FIX.

Still one of the most disappointing games to be made in the last decade.

Im talking about having a realistic goal like $2k a month passively (passively as in, the traffic is making you that, but you continue working on more stuff on the meantime)

I wouldn't be able to have a job and take orders. It's already an headache learning to program, imagine having to do it for things you don't like. Nice way to become insane and it doesnt even pay that good.

Solid build overall, but cyberpunk is said to be a very demanding game with some unprecedented system requirements. Might take a seriously high end gaming PC to run it at 144 fps.

If you've never been, you have the opportunity and you can afford it, go.  You have one life to live -- even if it's imperfect, you'll know what Paris is like.  You don't want to be looking back 20 or 30 years later wishing you'd gone.  And if you do have a partner later, you can go back if you like while knowing where to go and what to avoid.

Your SSD will last forever. At least for you and most of users. Why? Because after few years you change it to something else, like everybody does.
How many times in your life do you bought drives that should "work forever and I'll never need anything more?". I bet few times and that was always a lie.

For $330 shipped to his door, this is a fantastic deal for a new machine.  Yes, we all know we can source the same parts for a bit cheaper but at $330 we're near the floor for ANY new PC build.

It's a good starter, just like any cheap car it'll get you there but there's always better.
