Opinions on around 1200€ build

Harkulles

Hi guys, my friend wanted to build a PC to replace his old one. He wants to play the not released Cyberpunk 2077 and preferable with 144Hz.

looks good. maybe a bit faster ram - 3200 or 3600 - if not much more expensive, would help. otherwise, it's ok. not sure whether it will run cp2077 at 144hz, as no one know the requirements and how well optimised the game will be.

Solid build overall, but cyberpunk is said to be a very demanding game with some unprecedented system requirements. Might take a seriously high end gaming PC to run it at 144 fps.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Does he need this PC now? or is he specifically upgrading for CP77? it will be out in September, there should be new Nvidia cards out by then.

It's a good build, except I would replace the RAM with a 3200Mhz Kit and the motherboard with an Asrock B450 Pro4.

It's difficult to predict if this can do 144 FPS at 1080p in CP77 but this would be his best bet to achieve it with current GPUs, since the RTX 2080 Super is only ~10% faster and the 2080 Ti is extremely overpriced.

Thx, i upgraded the Ram. The Problem with the Asrock B450 Pro4 is, that its not Ryzen 3000 ready.

Lots of the boards already have updated BIOS but it's not guaranteed unless he's buying it at a store, which then even if it has its BIOS updated or not, he can ask to update it for him, or he can borrow a CPU from a friend, the Pro4 is a much better board it's worth the effort in my opinion.
