Which SSDs are in which slot? Any device connected to the SATA ports?

If you put the gpu in the first slot it should be good.

If you have two NVMe capable M.2 slots available, then you won't have a problem. Just be sure to put the GPU in the top x16 slot. 

The board supports only PCIe 2.0 x4 on the 2nd M.2 slot, maybe MSI didnt expect you would put a PCIe 4.0 capable drive there. Try swap their positions.

What are you comparing it too? Most xeons have a fair bit lower ipc which makes them very poor gaming cpu's. Also what socket and board are you using as that widely varies it too

to be honest when it comes to aliexpress motherboards, motherboards matter more than CPU choice.

There is a way to get single core turbo to go all core on those xeons so it won’t be that bad.

How? That is normally not possible at all.

Well then ur bottleneck isnt your NVME. 
Its more your CPU and RAM

This always depends on what you are doing with your footage and at what settings you record and edit. Also depends on how big the projectfiles and footage is.

If you record at 4K but edit at 1080p your needed performance will be lower. 

But even if you recod and edit at 4k a normal SSD should be enough. Premiere doesnt like big videofiles. But make sure to set all the disk settings to your 970 EVO Plus. 
 
Im editiing on a ryzen 1700x @ 4K  60 FPS and my bottleneck is not my SSD but my CPU and the sheer size of the files + RAM. 

But you can try to give premiere more memory in the settings AND set the disk settings to your 970 Plus for faster performance
 
So unless you are editing with huge uncompressed files i wouldnt recommend getting a second ssd/nvme. 

For video the answer is iPhones. Nothing else gets near them so just get the last eat one that’ll fit in your budget where you are. 

You can't expect a phone to record good videos for 250€. I have a Redmi Note 8 Pro and let me tell you, while photos are pretty decent for a 200€ device, videos are among the worst I have ever seen. Even a Samsung S/Note 9 does a better job at it than my phone, and I don't expect the 9 series to be any different.
If you absolutely want the best camera for the price, get an older pixel. If you're okay with potentially trash videos and decent photos, but a better overall phone, I would suggest to wait for the Redmi Note 10 pro that is expected to launch at the end of the year.

I think the new release dragon centre now supports b550 boards. I have the b550 MSI gaming plus and RGB Corsair ram. I noticed i D.C
had updated itself and now it shows I have the ram and can change colours etc but this doesn't seem to work. Aswell if you close the programme and open it back up the option disappears and it goes back to looking like the old dragon centre with no option to change the ram. Tried uninstalling and installing again and it reappears. If you delete icue after this the option of ram change in d.c disappears again! Crazy!!! I just want to be able to sync the rbg ram up to my mobo. Took a photo last night of it showing the rbg ram in D.G. what I found is unistalling it and downloading d.c from your mobo support page instead of directly through windows app should give you the ram option but then the thing won't work anyway and still uses the icue software.  Fed up with mystic light

prefferably you confront them with how inexperienced they may be in regards to PSUs. or you just ignore them i suppose. plenty of people who comment on PSUs who dont really know anything. 
 
or even better do the classic:
for where they missquoted the list to support their argument, which isnt a good start, especially when the rest is hearsay (and good lord there is a lot of bad hearsay in regards to PSUs)
 
 
and ill be honest, i have a very basic understanding of which units are good, and why that might be the case. i have been wrong plenty of times, but i try to get better at it.

yeah, fair enough. i thought id just add that unit given it isnt transient sensetive, and the 550w tripping is due to the rail config

Most of it is going to depend on the actual card.
 
Whether it's a 2x 8 Pin or 3x 8 Pin 3080 or 3090.
 
The 3080 FTW3 Ultra can pull 450W + 
 
The 3090 FTW3 Ultra can pull 500W +
 
For those a min of a 850W PSU is highly recommended by EVGA.
 
For the rest a 750W should be fine as they pull around 330W to 365W or so. (2x 8 Pin)
 
The ASUS Strix 3080 and 3090 also pull a lot of wattage, more than 450W so..... Would be the same as the EVGA FTW3 cards.
 
In short to make it easy:
 
2x 8 Pin 750W PSU.
3x 8 Pin 850W+ PSU.
 
And a high quality PSU that can handle the transient power spikes.

Bitfenix Formula Gold and Whisper M can be added if you want to.
 
soldered models of 550w units (to allow 2 rails to GPU) are known to work with the rtx 3080. (450w and 550w variants have single rail to GPU, and iirc its with the founders cards))
 
 
add 750w on the safe side, 650w version should also be fine tho i havent heard explicit confirmation on that one. 

Most of what we are dealing with NOW on the EVGA forum are the 450W and 500W 3x Pin 3080 and 3090 FTW3 cards right now.
 
Since those are the 1st ones out through EVGA.
 
BUt yeah I will add the 750W Whisper M to be on the safe side.
