I think the bridge mode should disable DHCP for you but in case it doesn't, disable DHCP on the TP Link, change the DHCP settings on the ASUS so that it provisions addresses from 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.253 and then change the IP of the TP Link to 192.168.1.254 which puts them on the same sub nets.
 
Subnet masks for both remain 255.255.255.0

I would go with Asus, simply because it has 6 sata ports for more storage options. Other stuff is more less the same. Dual bios on Gigabyte and 8pin CPU power connector... why would you OC on that board .

All my machines are either Intel i7s or Xeons or AMD Opterons...but then again, i need the power for running what i do (CAD/CAM/CAE, numerical analysis, etc). You should own what you need. At least thats my ethos.

CPUBoss would be a start, showing him how the single core performance on all modern Intel CPUs is far better than the FX lineup.

Pretty much all of the FX are overclockable, unless I missed something. Only Athlons with K and older ones "Black Editions" are overclockable.

I'd assume you'd be going with the FX series, which as far as I know are all unlocked. 
 
AMD has really fallen back on the high end CPU market though. Even their top of the line FX CPUs are behind some of Intel's mid-high range CPUs. For games at least. 

Honestly I don't like Google services.
They used to be good, but that is all.
Microsoft is the one I am with now, and it has never failed me.
I use OneDrive for everything, Outlook for personal e-mail. I have a GMail account, but that I use for Forum notification, and all that. I won't call it a junk e-mail, but if a forum or a place I register gets compromised and I get spam like no tomorrow, I can just close it and make a new account without too much issue.
What I like about OneDrive is the fact that you can PROPERLY view documents on the web, you have a free light version of Office that all can access free. Google docs destroys everything.
And you have the same features. And you have more space with OneDrive.
Not to mention, that for the same price as Google extra store 1TB, you have Office 365, which give you 1TB of free space in your OneDrive. So what's the point of going with Google?
I also like the fact how my 2x Windows 8 systems are in sync with each other due to OneDrive integration.
