So i wanted to know what is you guys top 5 when install windows.

That will be cool i guess !! :D

  1. Install Chrome
  2. Install Thunderbird
  3. Remove all the default tiles on the Win8 Start screen
  4. Install VLC
  5. Install Steam

There are more but this is only up to 5 so.. :P

1- Install network drivers (if needed)

2- Download Comodo Dragon (chromium based browser)

3- Download/Install Windows Update(s) (if available)

4- Download/Install other drivers

5- Update the UEFI if it can be updated while in Windows (if needed)

 

Stuff after that would be download programs and games.

1. Run Ninite to install chrome, itunes, 7zip, vlc

2. Map network drives

3. sync gdrive and dropbox

4. Install steam and install games

5.

3- set my batch file to run at start to add me nas as network locations 

4- install games

5- Play games

1- Install Updates


2- Install Avast/Firefox/Chrome/Safari (in that order)


3- Install Steam/Origin/Uplay, copy games over (in that order)


4- Put everything else on


5-  Porn. Lots and lots of porn. :P

Thanks for linking that video. Most of those settings were already default, but I'm surprised at how nice it is to set the desktop background as the metro background because it actually makes it exceptionally less jarring to use.

1.  Update windows and hardware drivers.

 

2.  Install high necessity utility software and basic programs (Speedfan, SSD Tools, hardware monitors, firefox, etc...), and fancy up my background and icons.

 

3.  Load my favorite games that will always be on my system (uhmmm, that is just League Of Legends).

 

4.  CLONE ME DRIVE AND NEVER DO STEPS 1-3 AGAIN!!!

 

5.  There is no "5", 5 is a lie.

I'm just going to list software, as doing windows updates and installing drivers should be a given.

1. Kaspersky Anti Virus

2. Chrome

3. 7zip

4. Java

5. Office

 

After I install ALL my programs I go though msconfig and remove unwanted started applications.
