dgsddfgdfhgs reacted to Otto_iii in is process lasso relevant for boosting ryzen performance??
With duel CCD CPUs like 3900x and 3950x its supposed to be great, you can run a game on one CCD and avoid the latency of ryzen chucking between CCDs.  Likewise on a 3700/3800 its good for stuff like streaming, tie 4 best cores/CCX to game (usually will be enough cores, obviously 6 is more ideal) and 4 worst to all other backround tasks+stream, alternatively if not streaming tie all backround tasks to say 2 cores, game purely to 6, Bam now you've got a 3600x corecount wise souly focused on game, not minding 2gigs of ram worth of proccess and stuff windows is running in the backround, typically this is excellent for increasing minimums.

that said, yeah i'd love to see some benchmarks too, but logically i can't see how it wouldnt work if configured properly.

thats the 1st gen buggiest TR4 , no one wants that mobo, too much potential issues with mobo (tr4 only supports more pcie lanes if thats what you want)...

for 3600 vs 2700x, depends on how high your target fps is

dgsddfgdfhgs reacted to 191x7 in Upgrade
In my opinion, the upgrade from an 1660 to an rtx 2060 isn't worth it. Not a large enough performance jump to justify the price difference.
Also, in my experience and expert opinion, the 2060 isn't a good enough card for 1440p gaming, especially for high refresh.

I'm running an RX 5700 XT, which is an RTX 2070 to 2070 Super range card, and even that card has trouble keeping above 100 fps on High details 1440p, not to mention Ultra or such. For example, the Shadow of the tomb raider benchmark shows 82 fps with everything set to max with turned down AA and turned off motion blur.

I would recommend an RX 5700 or an RTX 2060 Super as the abre minimum for 1440p gaming. And above that for higher framerate/refresh.

As for the PSU, it would be really close, so I wouldn't combine them.

everything started in 2012, my brother and I decided to build a pc, and I was overseas and will return in a few weeks time. he suddenly bought a 2500 in stead of 2500k as agreed and built by himself

Oh, I honestly don't remember how many - but I do know I had it running all night,  6-8 hours or so and that was considered the absolute *minimum* lol

But yes,  6+ hours at least.

Honestly I think all mobos are trash - there just isn't too much competition in the field you have
    Gigabyte
    Asus
    MSI
    Biostar
    Asrock
    EVGA
    NZXT (lol?)

And that's pretty much it?  No reason for any of these companies to be less buggy / unreliable than the other.

I mean to be fair their stuff mostly works,  but far from perfect,  and it may not even be viable with the thousands of possible mobo / cpu / ram / etc combinations.

It's literally a lottery,  I had the highly praised MSI B450 tomahawk MAX for my Ryzen 3600 for about 2 weeks,  incredible sluggish BIOS,  frequently crashing and / or rebooting into BIOS for no obvious reason.

I'm using my old MSI B350M Mortar now and having much less issues,  no random reboots etc.

     ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Its okay bro. Anyways quick update guys the CPU i will use is Ryzen 5 3600 and the store in my place ran out of ATX mobos the only ones left are B450 i Aorus Pro Wifi $120 and x570i aorus pro wifi $240
Would the B450 i be alright for the 3600? I saw on a mobo tier list that for some reason B450 i aorus pro has better VRM than the mobos I mentioned in the original post above. The x570 has 8 phase and 70Amps each something something while the B450 i has 4+2 phase and 50amps each. I don't really plan on overclocking heavily and stuff maybe just light overclocking.
