I don't think the 1.1B points at the 3AM update was due to them credited missed WUs.

The two updates before it appeared to have issues pulling data from the F@H stat server. 0pts on the update before and only 151M on the one before that (previously averaging close to 400M). Would have been 'owed' somewhere around 500M-700M points from the two previous update periods then with the 400B or so from that update it would give around 1.1B.

Today's daily score is going to be inflated a little bit by the 9pm and 12am score being counted in today's total instead of yesterday's.

Also guys we cracked 1 million WUs for the month.

It's been a good time to catch up on movies, haven't had much more than a cough, sore throat and sneezes so far.

Just moved into this place a couple months ago and I splurged for gigabit internet so me and another quarantined buddy have been just chilling lol.

I hadn't stocked up any food or anything but his wife kindly dropped off some food and liquor today lol!

Most motherboards I've looked at recently are 2 amp fan headers and I found one site that confirms for the board you list but I don't know the legitimacy of said site.  That said, the fan you list is .2 amp each so even if it is a 1 amp header, you'd be tight but still under the limit with 4 fans.

MSI's site does confirm that the headers are PWM or DC controlled.

Two and three way PWM splitters do exist, newegg or amazon have them.  I did a quick search for a 4 way but it looks like most have an extra plug for additional molex power? I used two 3 way splitters when I was using an ITX board myself as there was only one cpu fan header and one system fan header (had 6 fans total).  3 fans on the cpu header, 3 on the system header.

They have all 4 wires going to one fan and then three wires going to the rest.  The fourth wire is the speed sensor so the rest just run at whatever that one fan is running at.

    Here's a crude representation of how I set my fans up;

CorruptedSanity got a reaction from Ben17 in ASUS PG279q vs PG279qz: Whats the difference???
Interesting that the third party site you linked shows a difference in brightness but ASUS claims (comparing on their website) them to both be 350nit peak.   Just a guess but the Q is an older model (amazon shows first available 2015) and they probably started to use a different panel for late 2018 and newer and decided to make a new model name for it (your link shows they went from direct backlight to edge, hence my assumption).  Amazon Canada shows the newer QR for $300 cheaper for me, I know which one I'd buy if I needed a new monitor ?.

Most people don't run their display at max brightness anyways, I doubt you'd notice a difference.

I have a secret labs titan and I love it.  I only have experience with one other chair, a $100ish office chair from Costco.  It could be one of the worst purchases I've ever made.  Within a month or two the cushion was tapped out, just felt like I was sitting on just the plywood underneath and made my back ache.

I can game for hours on the titan and if it gets uncomfortable I just take a break and go back.  No back ache anymore.  I even use it instead of the couch sometimes when watching tv with the wife.

That's just my two cents.  I'd love to try a few other chairs but ill wait for the titan to give out first.

True.  I didn't read it carefully enough as it was getting way too late, haha.

It is odd that someone was able to enable the Pixio 277h though, which has a wider freesync range, but not the 347c.

Yeah you lose out on a bit if you go B450I with wifi, including ram like you mentioned.  Wifi is pretty common in itx form factor but not so much mATX.

Pcpartpicker has said filter and you are correct, there are none. You'll just have to change something whether it be form factor or integrated wifi.

I'm very curious to see what the rumoured navi based APUs look like or if they're even true, might have to build a rig to leave at home for the wife to stream/emulate from.  Or do I upgrade to a zen 2 cpu and give her my 2600x and the 1060 6gb in the closet..  Priorities haha.

CorruptedSanity got a reaction from Sean Sotir in Gsync issue with support Asus MG278Q freesync monitor
MSI GTX1070 Ti Titanium, driver 417.71.  Yes, I only get these issues with G-Sync on.  It's definitely a driver issue but I'm not really surprised, it is the first release after all.  I've just turned it off for the majority of the time now and enable it when I want to try it out for something.

Another issue I get it that I wall mounted a TV above my pc to watch movies on and if I have both displays plugged in, g-sync enabled on my monitor and play a game on it I get 1-2 seconds of black frames every couple minutes or so.  Unplug the TV and it works fine with G-Sync on.  Turn G-Sync off and it works fine with two displays.

I use a 27" 1080p monitor from 2-3' away at most and I have to really lean in to start discerning individual pixels but YMMV.  Of course it's not as sharp as a higher resolution but i don't feel like it's especially blurry in everyday use and i don't see any, "screen door," effect.

CorruptedSanity got a reaction from MEC-777 in Show off your old and retro computer parts
I went back home just after new years and decided to pull out some hardware from my old pc that had been sitting outside for the past 6+ years. I grabbed the MSI MS 7250 motherboard, two Kingmax DDR2 667mhz ram 1GB sticks, MSI 7600GT GPU, TV @nywhere plus capture card, AMD Athlon 64 X2 CPU, and 54Mbps WiFi card.  It was more so preserving my PC gaming history but I also may do a retro build one day.

Out of curiosity I disassembled the GPU, which was the first time I've done such a task, and applied some fresh thermal compound.  After uninstalling my 1070ti and drivers I plugged the 7600GT into my rig and to my surprise, it actually booted!  I even overclocked it a little which I never had the confidence to do when I was in my teens and ran heaven for about 30-45 minutes with no issues (literally as I typed this I got a BSOD so I set it back to stock clocks).  I was surprised to say the least, I thought for sure 6+ freeze/thaw cycles and plenty of morning dew would've killed it.

Well, I guess this stuff is going on a shelf now until I decide to build an XP machine for some hardware accurate gaming.  Hope this isn't too many pics.
