Alright then, I hope someone could help us solve this problem ? -
RAM can't run at rated speed
Dreadnought replied to Dreadnought's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I've tried 2 kits, Team T-Force Delta RGB 3200MHz CL16 and Klevv Bolt X 3200MHz CL16 (which I use right now), both of them have the same problem and I've tried same methods, none of them works. Is it motherboard failure? -

R5 3600 Deepcool Gammaxx 400 V2 ASRock B450 Pro 4 (latest bios) Samsung 860 Evo 500gb Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550w WD Black 2TB -
My current ram is Klevv Bolt X 8GB (4x2), it's rated at 3200MHz CL16 1.35v, paired them with R5 3600 and ASRock B450 Pro 4. Whenever I tried to enable XMP, it crashes (blue screen) then automatically restart 3 times, then it boots to desktop but my ram get back to 2666MHz CL19. I've tried using DRAM calculator, copied everything, but still unsuccessful, I've even tried to bump the voltage to 1.45v and loose the timing heavily, but it still crashes. Any help?

Best Budget RAM for R5 3600
Dreadnought replied to Dreadnought's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Based on what I've read anywhere, Vengeance LPX and RipjawsV are good overclocker, so I include those, hoping that I could reach at least 3200 CL16 with those kit. -
Best Budget RAM for R5 3600
Dreadnought replied to Dreadnought's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Because 3200 CL14 outperformed 3600 CL18 in most circumstances, based on LTT's and GN's testing. So I think 3200 CL14 is better? -
- Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666MHz CL16 ($77) - Gskill RipjawsV 3000MHz CL16 ($80) - Team Force Dark Za Alpha 3600MHz CL18 ($86) - Patriot Viper Elite RGB 3600MHz CL17 ($102) P.S. They're all 16GB dual channel kit My target is to hit at least 3200MHz CL14, or overclock the infinity fabric to 1800/1900MHz (if possible). Which ram should I get? My setup: R5 3600 Deepcool Gammaxx 400 V2 ASRock B450 Pro 4 RX 5600XT Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550W

https://www.asrock.com/news/index.asp?iD=4238 Here it says B450 Pro 4 only need P3.20 to support Zen 2 CPUs, therefore P3.50 also supports Zen 2 CPUs. May I know why do you think that my current BIOS doesn't support the 3600?
-
My current BIOS version is P3.50, 2019/7/25. I wanna upgrade my CPU to R5 3600 (currently using R3 2200G), should I be okay or should I update my BIOS to P3.90? Because it says "*ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if Pinnacle, Raven, Summit or Bristol Ridge CPU is being used on your system." in the P3.90's description. http://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450 Pro4/#BIOS

R5 2600 6C/12T $120 R5 3500X 6C/6T $150 My current GPU is RX 580, which one should I get? Should I get the 7nm (but only 6 thread) R5 3500X? P.S. Both are brand new
-
RX 570 vs RX 580, is the RX 580 worth getting?
Dreadnought replied to Dreadnought's topic in Graphics Cards
Yeah the difference is only ~10fps, I'll OC the 570. -
In my situation right now: RX 570 4GB $80 RX 580 4GB $110 Both are Sapphire Nitro+ model. Should I get the RX 580 or save the $30? Because I can use that $30 to upgrade my ram from 8gb to 16gb. P.S. My current CPU is R3 2200G
