I haven't checked if it's 100% required. Maybe not. But a lot of flashing gurus always recommend clean driver install after any VGA BIOS flash. You can clean install via GeForce Experience or standalone Nvidia driver, I used DDU just to make sure everything from old driver is deleted. It might work without it if DDU is any kind of trouble for you.

Yeah, download BIOS update from ASUS and just launch exe from archive. It's fully automated. Next delete your current driver with DDU, restart PC and install Nvidia driver as usual.

the most silent best performing card, also is the coolest, other than gigabyte xtreme, which is four slots and doesn't fit in most motherboards. so get the gaming x trio

Thanks for the feedback guys! So far most of you are saying that when inside the house/ during flights the xm3s are predominantly used but when outside walking or working out the in ear option is preferred. Thank for all of your inputs guys! Will take this into consideration.

another question i have is how long can you wear the xm3 before the pressure gets irritating/uncomfortable Since it’s used mainly inside the house for media consumption/gaming? I know there are a lot of reviews out there but i would like to know your experience with it! Thanks!

I can use the XM3's for like 4hrs before a quick break, they are really comfortable! I use a modmic type thing with my set for gaming. And when I take them off its not that they hurt my head, rather they make my ears go warm, but in a cool climate, I can use them for a lot longer almost forgetting I have them on.

You’re good to go. Don’t expect good gaming performance, but web browsing will definitely get 60fps on 4K.

And the LG you mentioned has pretty good chance to get reviewed soon after release also.

Should work like that yeah. Don't expect 4k 165hz, but as far as I've heard 4k 120 should be possible. Take it with a grain of salt tho, as i don't have any sources right now. But i think i saw it on amazon, worth looking into.

Sorry adaptor was the wrong way, displayport to hdmi 2.1, so not helpful in your situation.
They have scammed a couple times in the past, and keep scamming on, so unless you live in a country with a super good buyers protection laws, i would avoid them.

Check youtube for that, there are quite many Med students who use iPad for exactly that, and show how they use it, how they organize stuff etc etc ^^
I'm from a different corner, and it works great for me.

Just search for keywords iPad, note taking, paperless, Notability / good notes etc.
    For example:

Or the Channel from Paperless Student:

So, thumbs up for me in general (regardless if it's medical stuff, engeneering, or anything else).

Very good Apps for note Taking would be Notability (i prefer it), and Good notes 4 (5 is supposed to come out this year, bringing incredibly great potential).

PDF Expert, if it's mainly for annotating PDFs (like your scripts without adding too much own writing into it).
Of course, there are many other produtive Apps, depending on what you want to do, and how ^^"

If Budget is tight, iPad 2018, or iPad 2019 (the Budget-one, which SHOULD come out april~ 2019).
If not, i would look into the new iPad Pro 2018 series (rumors say, they come out this or next month). 10.5-11" for the smaller one, 12.9" for the bigger one.
Or the 2017 Pro generation (2nd Pro gen) will be cheaper aswell.

For pure writing, productivity etc, the 12.9" is much better, because it offers like 50%~ more surface area than the 10.5" Model (which offers 20%~ more surface Area than the 9.7" model). But 12.9" becomes less "compact" of course. Try them out, which works for you^^

If they stay at the same core count you can pretty much count on lower power consumption for probable greater usage time on the same tasks as prior processor generation. If they use the extra space from the smaller process on increasing core count then power draw might stay approximately the same, but it will handle more highly threaded tasks better so long as the program in question is coded to utilize the new cores. For the instructions per clock I'd be more than a little surprised if the new process doesn't include an increase in IPC.

There are more possibilities, but those are the major ones as I see it.

As for the IPhone switching... eh. Not buying one so researching it is something I'll leave to you.

I still have a 2011 MBA (not really mine but can steal it) and a 2013 MBP. Is really depend on what you are using it for. If you doing the latest saving the world and breakthrough research, you want the latest and greatest. If you are just using for word processing and youtube, any decent machines will do.

I just brought another laptop (Aero 15x) to replace my 2013 MBP since I need a Nvidia GPU for my research and the programs that I use play with windows much nicer.

I have the dual core 2016 model without a touchbar. Thanks to FinalCut Pro, I have no need for anything more powerful. Adding more cores won't change the Iris GPUs lack of power in the 13" models and adding more cores doesnt help FinalCut all that much.

I might upgrade in 3-5 years.

whaa??? really? I agree with you on some points but I think you may be ill-informed.
    1) heat spreaders are negligible (agreed)
    2) rams itself are not very different (disagreed)

When companies select rams, they choose the ones that are able to overclock the most and slap a label on it. These rams go through rigorous testing before they are separated from the pack. They can OC higher at tighter timings. Ripjaws are not Trident Zs. Ripjaws are targeted for entry level enthusiasts whereas Trident Zs are for overclockers.

hi guys so im building my first gaming pc and would like to ask if it's worth to wait for the 9th gen intel processor coming out in October (?? not sure about the date) or should i just get the current gen 8700k. surely 6c -> 8c will be a huge bump but i wanna know your thoughts guys

EDIT: i have also decided to wait for the next gen nvidia gpus.  so if i were to get an 8700k ATM i would just be using its integrated gpu
