Anything faster than 2400MHz that is DDR4, and from a reputable brand.

i wouldn't recommend going higher on your RAM if the price difference is too far. Rather saving money and go with 2400 MHz

I would recommend this https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xxs8TW/gskill-memory-f42400c15d16gis

"Make it future proof for some years at least, don't buy "only slightly better" stuff that gets outdated 1 year, that's throwing money away" @pipoawas

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

Mention me if you want to summon me sooner or later

Spoiler

My head on 2019 :

Note 10, S10, Samsung becomes Apple, Zen 2, 3700X, Renegade X lol

3200mhz is more or less the highest you can go without paying to much of a premium.

Heres the price difference in the UK atm for a 16gb kit.

Dominator ram is usually really expensive. Just grab yourself the cheapest 3000 mhz+ kit that looks OK.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

is grabbing a 32gb ram logical? or is ram considered as under the law of diminishing returns?

was just about to point that, ok so like i said if the price difference is too far (420 seems to be far) don't get 3200. I should look at prices on cheap 3200/3000 MHz ram first...

depends on if you are using that much for gaming or workstation like workload

If gaming anything over 16GB is Overkill

but for workstation things it could be useful
