Snaggletooth got a reaction from Psittac in Show off your latest purchases
This month, I've spent two paychecks... Keyboard, 32 gb DDR4 RAM, SSD (already mounted) and PSU.
My cousin asked me to try recover data from old HDD (like, REALLY old, with 40 pin connector) and since I have my chassis open since Wednesday...
PS when I thought I can't fit SSD in this chassis... like a boss.

I just bought a 1060 6gb ZOTAC AMP GTX GPU that I will be picking up tomorrow.
It was on a sale and should be a pretty decent upgrade from my 760 2GB.
I mostly decided to go for this one since my CPU, RAM and everything else is still good enough for what I do with my PC and next year I am planning on completely new rig anyway, so buying high end GPU right now does not really make sense.
The main reason why I did not just wait for the new rig is that my old 760 could only offer 120 hz on my 144 hz monitor, my soonTM to be bought 4k TV couldn't be run at 60 hz without lowering chroma sampling and that some games I play couldn't be run at even 120 hz with my current GPU.
I am really looking forward to tomorrow!

Well, not exactly today, but a week ago. I'm assembling new machine this year and I fell in love with this case when I saw it. I have pretty cool (I believe so) idea about complete build, aesthetically. About parts and performance - I have LTT Media Group to do the heavy lifting for me.
Next to the case there's a Pepsi bottle (I enjoy this beverage WAAAY more than I should). That, I bought today. :')

And even if it was true do we really trust the USA more than China?

In last december I hurt my leg at work. After it got healed I got lazy and stopped going to gym for two months. In the meantime I got bored with my usual Spotify playlists (sorry, Lemmy, I still love You, man!) and I needed something to make ten minutes warm up on treatmill less exhausting (yes, ten to twelve minutes on average 11km/h is my kind of warm up; I chill harder than you party, cheers! ;D). And I thought that there are a few bands that helped to shape my music taste and preferences that I haven't listened for years.
Disturbed is not only perfect for treadmill and pumping iron, but also still great to listen and enjoy. Stephen King once said that books are the best and the only ones time machines available to us. For me, it is also music. Ahh, memories! <3

No idea how this ended up on YouTube, but God's speed to whoever had the time to digitize the tapes, scan the cover, create a video and uploaded it.

Snaggletooth reacted to Radium_Angel in $2,000,000 Clean Room! - DriveSavers Data Recovery Tour
I used to do data recovery. 99% of the time it was a snap (I've recovered data from systems with water damage and burned down buildings) but it was that 1% of the time where you really earned your keep. (4GB SQL database file that had been RAIDed across 4 SCSI drives from a server that had been both nailed by a direct lightning strike that ALSO burned down the building....)

I think MY Mystic Space Warrior PC is cleaner looking, it may only be a 6700k not an 8700k but I've got 2 Mystic Space Warriors inside.
