Spotty got a reaction from BiotechBen in Targus is trying to imitate the LTT color scheme
That bag doesn't look anything like the LTT backpack. A little bit of orange trim inside the bag is not a copy of LTTs bag at all. Having orange interior isn't even something LTT can claim as their own. LTT used to advertise a backpack with an orange interior before they started selling their own backpack.

Spotty got a reaction from Erioch in Sabrent's firmware update infected with malware
Firmware updates for several of Sabrent's USB Hubs that were available on Sabrent's website have been discovered to include malware. The file RHC.exe in the .rar downloaded from the firmware update page contained a RAT (Remote Access Trojan). It's believed to be introduced somewhere in the supply chain from the manufacturers of Sabrent's USB hubs. As this is believed to be a supply chain attack it is possible that this may also affects other brands who have used the same manufacturers or suppliers.

ThioJoe has posted a video about it and seems to be the first to pick it up

The date for the firmware update shows August 2023 and it appears people have reported malware in the firmware update as far back as 6 months ago judging by this Tom's Hardware post in December 2023 reporting the firmware updater was detected as malware by their anti virus. It was posted on SomeOrdinaryGamers Reddit by u/andrewtjb a few weeks ago which was seen by Sabrent who removed the file, though it seems it affected more files and was for some reason reuploaded to Sabrent's website after it had been removed. Sabrent has since removed all of the infected download files from their website.

Unless if you're from Vietnam, which recently banned steam from what I've heard, but that's a them issue

It's still playable and they still own the game, and Steam would probably still refund the game in those regions if asked (no official confirmation from steam or Sony yet afaik)

The 2 major boosts to performance will come from swapping out the spinning metal hard disk with an SSD. That makes a huge difference. Windows will feel much snappier.

I would look at binning the 2 x 4GB DDR3 Ram modules and getting 2 x 8GB (16GB total) instead. That would be the 2nd biggest impact to performance.

Spotty reacted to strajk- in Razer fined for their supposedly N95 Zephyr RGB Mask.
There is a difference between criticizing them for making ineffective equipment and criticizing them for calling it something it isn't due to not going through certification, so I would be careful with what you write about this situation...

Both aren't mutually exclusive, however as far I can read into this, they're being fined for calling it N95 despite the product not having the required certification to be allowed to be labeled as such, for all we know it could be as effective or even more effective than your traditional N95 mask.

Spotty reacted to Stahlmann in Looking for advice on weight loss
If anyone is still interested, here is a little update:

As some of you suggested, it seems that after seeing the initial results, I was over-motivated and pushing my body too hard without enough rest and nutrition to go along with it.

I've decided to reduce the calorie deficit a bit, which means I'm eating more, but I'm still in a deficit. I also started taking body measurements and regular photos to keep track of my progress. And in general, most of the advice you guys and gals gave me was correct. I have lost another 12 pounds since posting the thread, while at the same time visibly gaining a lot more muscle, and there is a continuous downward trend in my body measurements, showing a loss of body fat.

I have also cut back from training 6 times a week with 1 off day to a 3 day routine, but with harder workouts. That means cardio on day 1, weight training on day 2, and just rest on day 3, then cardio again, and so on. Not only does this give my body more time to recover, but it also fits better into my daily routine.

So no, I didn't permanently damage my metabolism by crash dieting. Still, I overdid it, cut back a bit, and everything is fine.

Spotty got a reaction from filpo in PC will not Power ON if GPU has external power
Power supply cables are generally not compatible across different power supplies. If you're using PCIe cables from a different power supply that aren't compatible with your power supply it won't work. Most likely it's detecting the fault and SCP (Short Circuit Protection) is kicking in to shut the power supply off before any damage can be done to the system.

Use a different power supply only using cables that were included with that power supply. If you swap the power supply remove any other power cables that were from the Silverstone PSU from the system (CPU, Motherboard, SATA...).

What happens when you push the on button? Turns on then turns off? Doesn't turn on at all?
Are you using the PCIe cables that came with the power supply?
