^^^ 8600K for sure. 8600K is essentially buffed Skylake. It's an IPC bump over Broadwell (which is the arch the 6800K runs on) and the vast majority of them will reliably hit 5Ghz, whereas Broadwell chips cap at 4.2, 4.4 or higher on very very good chips. So higher IPC (Instructions Per Clock) plus more clocks makes for a very fast chip. Majority of games don't really care about the extra threads the i7 has so the 8600K will smoke it. Same as how my 8600K at 5Ghz absolutely obliterated my 2700X (IPC between/similar to the Haswell-E and Broadwell-E gen chips and at similar clocks to the Broadwells) in every game I tested, despite the 2700X's much higher core/thread count.

If you have any experience using LEGO you are more than qualified to click in a few parts to make a computer.

It's pretty hard to screw up. The hardest part is putting the CPU in the socket, and installing the cooler if you bought a cheap one.

Exactly what I've been saying for years.

I would recommend the ASUS graphics card because I've always had a good experience with their product line.  But realistically it comes down to what card you think looks best because they should both perform roughly the same.

You can try to use a clean paintbrush in tandem with an air duster.

That's more than enough. It's when you start loading on multiple GPUs that you have to ask yourself if what you have enough. 650W is plenty.

Where you have plastic surfaces, or some types of paint surfaces, and dust is clinging to them from static charge (not good around a computer anyway), use a dryer sheet to wipe the dust off. It'll work amazingly well. This is also handy if you do case mods on plastic parts with a dremel tool - the little plastic bits tend to become very staticy and cling to everything. The dryer sheet makes them come loose and they tend to get snagged up and trapped in the sheet very well.

For some without an xbox/ps4 I am excited to play RDR2 on PC after this along awaited release. And since I've waited so long already I won't have an issue waiting a few months more in hopes of getting a discount on it.

    My advice:
1 - don't forget to put the i/o shield on before motherboard installation
2 - don't sweat the build process because it's practically LEGO
3 - don't panic when your system doesn't turn on during the first boot. Just go to the back of your case an turn the PSU on

Browsing the web with media playing would be the majority of what I do. My computer's power is very much underutilized.

A CM hyper 212 or Cryorig h7 would be more than enough. An air cooler would likely provide quieter operation too.
