As a side note Phanteks is coming out with he P400A which has an entirely mesh front instead of solid. They will hopefully be selling the panels separately as an upgrade for existing P400 users around August. Unless you're completely sick of the P400 and want something different

H500/P mesh/M is good, so is RL06

i didn't do any proper testing to record temps before i did the change, but now my gpu stays below 45c and my cpu rarely touches 60c. I don't think i needed to do this mod, but i've become somewhat obsessive over my thermals 

Depends on the case, and how OCD you are.
 
I've toyed with the idea, but materials cost to do it properly always outweighed simply buying a nicer case.

My 9900k was very concave. I had to lap it, it was very high on 3 sides. The 4th side was touching decently hence i had 2 cores at 85c and 2 cores at 95c, the other cores were jumping around a bit.
after lap all my cores were much closer
I did the razor blade flatness test as soon as i got it and seen it was bad. I took my HSF off the other day and the paste told the story.
Im on air, you should be getting lower idle temps then me with a AIO? imo
I have a super crap heatsink and a decent fan, running 4.8ghz manual overclock idle 34c, load 88-90c

I would do a flatness test using a razor blade at a strait edge on both your CPU and AIO
but i would guess something is wrong with your AIO, bad pump? clogged? just cant handle the heat? or maybe your paste app?

yea I would go for the CPU as you can run those at 3440 with a 1070

Also, fyi, nvidia is due to release the cards end of this year early next year (supposedly), and if you are already thinking about buying the new cards, there's no point to buy one now, just to buy another one so soon.

There is a workaround for this also.
 
 
You can get freeware that will mount an ISO file as a virtual disc drive.
 
Then you can get more freeware that extract the contents of the DISC as an ISO.  then you just need to mount the ISO and you can play without using the Disc.

You will most likely get a steam code, and a disc that contains some of the game. 

If it is a steam code (which I will bet it is) you don't have to use the disc everytime you're going to play it

Nvidia doesn't allow any of their board partners to deviate from the reference design for the Titan X and XP.  It's not really understood why NV put this restriction in place.

The man o war itself would use 7.1 it would depend on the ps4, but I'm pretty sure it would work, if the headphones are open back, the soundstage wouldn't be that bad even if it used 2.0 or simulated 7.1

yes, but you need to attach the fan to the rad first.

NF F12 or NF P12 redux are much better than the iPPC for noise.
Noiseblocker eloop would work great but is probably too expensive for you.
CM silencio fans are also extremely quiet and have great pressure for radiators, that's what I would get if I couldn't afford the noiseblocker.

on small rads I usually do a push pull. however, with the extra thickness of the h80 I would attach a fan to the rad and then screw the fan to the back of the case ( pull ) ( case back/fan/rad ) ( hoses down ). it'll make cleaning the rad easier too.

the 1 in the front means it's dual fan
the 1 in the middle means it's 140mm fan
the 5 in the end means it has a thicker radiator
the i means it supports Corsair Link software
the GT and GTX means it's pretty

You're hilariously wrong dude. $500 can do most games at 1080p on medium settings with a 750 Ti. 

The Coolermaster fan is a good one as it's pressure optimized, just to give some options some others that would work well for this would be the Fractal Design Venturi, EK Vardars, Gently Typoon, Eloops to name a few.
