Corsair H110i vs H115i vs H110i GT vs H110i GTX? What's the difference!?

EDIT: It seems that Corsair is simply renaming things for 2016.

  • H80i GT is now the H80i V2.
  • H100i GTX  is now the H100i V2.
  • H110i GT is now the H110i.
  • H110i GTX is now the H115i.

Whether or not there are any actual differences in these new models, I'm not sure, but according to what information I've found, they are just new, renamed models.

That's exactly what they are, we've just updated the SKUs. They are technically the same in terms of performance. The only thing that's worth mentioning is that the V2 models all have had their blocks slightly tweaked to ensure compatibility with Skylake Mini-ITX boards that may have components right next to the socket.

They look close to the same, and are all new/newish 280mm radiator options. Am I missing some obvious difference between them? Or is Newegg's Corsair AIO page just derpy at the moment? They added a few models recently, and they seem a bit off... For example, they've listed an H110i that looks exactly like the H110i GT and an H115i that looks exactly like the H110i GTX? I feel like it might be a posting error or perhaps a new (less confusing) naming scheme, but I'm not sure. It doesn't right that Corsair has added four new 280mm coolers that are nearly identical. (H110i, H115i, H110i GT, and H110i GTX) The weird thing is, Corsair hasn't added these to their site from what I can tell. I'm really confused!

the 1 in the front means it's dual fan

the 1 in the middle means it's 140mm fan

the 5 in the end means it has a thicker radiator

the i means it supports Corsair Link software

the GT and GTX means it's pretty

According to Newegg, they have the same thickness, though, which is why I was second-guessing their older naming scheme. And as for the GT/GTX, they all have nearly identical waterblocks and are listed to have RGB LEDs, which makes the whole GT/GTX thing seem unnecessary? Hence why I'm kind of thinking that maybe they've renamed the radiators to make them a bit less confusing.

I believe all expect the h110i are Asetek pumps, but I may be wrong

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

It appeared on Newegg at the beginning of the week. I've been doing a lot of digging around, and I'm pretty sure that H110i GT = H110i and H110i GTX = H115i under the new scheme. The H100i GTX is also now known as the H100i V2. Whether or not these include upgrades, I'm not sure. However, they're definitely 99% identical from what I can tell.

the H100i is VERY difference from the H100iGT and GTX...

the H100i is the old model released years ago

the H100i GT and GTX have the new CPU block with braided tubing, and the GT has tubing coming out the side while GTX has tubing coming out the top

also I think the GT ones are made by coolit while GTX is made by asetek

I said the H100i V2. It's on Newegg, and is simply the H100i GTX from what I can tell.

H100i V2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181103

H100i GTX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181090

ALL of the GT/GTX coolers seem to have new versions, so I'm really believing that this is just their attempt to make things less confusing, while making it more confusing until the older stock of the GT/GTXs sell out. Hence why all of those models have been ~$100 rather than $120+ for the past few weeks.

So Zune. Did you notice any difference between the 110i gtx and the 115i?

H115i looks like a rebrand of H110i GTX with newer firmware. Lot of the older models had issues with Corsair Link. Personally I would go with a copper radiator over Aluminum.

Current Build: Project Frost
Gaming Rig Build: Project Ice Dragon

Hello Joseph,

Would you be able to provide me simple comparison between all those models?

I am considering adding water cooling system on my rig, but I am not sure if I should put AIO unit or custom cooling one.

The previous models are almost identical to the new ones (V2) except for the new logo, basically cosmetics.

H100i GTX - http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h100i-gtx-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

H100i V2 - http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h100i-v2-extreme-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler

If you closely, you'll notice on the cooler's pump logo, they are different. Also, new models have better compatibility with m-ITX boards, especially the ones that have components around the socket. Other than those, V2 coolers are just new gen Corsair coolers with updated logo.

The v2 only uses the fan header and ditched the Sata power connector. It'll still have a splitter for its included fans but I believe this is SATA power change was an issue customers were having with the older model.
