Just checked 750 Ti Strix BIOS download from TPU and TDP was set at 38.5w PCIE rail also limited to 38.5w, this card come with 6pin power connector.
Maybe i read it wrong because it only have 3 power tables.

I know, in fact mine pulled almost 100w on the wall after oc.
He just assumed BIOS have total control the card power limit without testing it.

Wait, Uncharted 4 on a 4k monitor? Isn't the game like, 1080p/30fps to begin with?
It being played on a 4k monitor doesn't change much, it's just upscaled.

Well, at least good guy EVGA did put it on the box/card when Nvidia did similar shit on their x60 cards many years ago.

people keep forgetting that the OC you do is an offset above the boost clock (wich is already a very nice OC from the factory) ...
e.g.: My Strix 1070 runs at 1632MHZ baseclock ... because of gpu boost 3.0 it already overclock's to 2056 MHz ... i can set an overlock of +75 max ... wich makes this card run
at 2101 MHZ stable ... thats like a +500MHz overclock (and thats not bad at all).
So if your card can run an extra 25MHz above the boostclock then this isn't actualy a bad overclock tbh, it just means that your card clocks well out of the box and it doens't have that much more headroom to play with. Just compare your baseclock and your max boostclock and c wat you already get out of the box.

Freesync is a software that utilize a variable sync monitor, to adjust the refresh rate according to the frame rate on the go.
G-Sync is a hardware+software that utilize variable sync monitor, to adjust the refresh rate according to the frame rate on the go.

AMD = Variable sync monitor + Software
Nvidia = Variable sync monitor + Proprietary Hardware + Software

An Nvidia card should in theory be able to adjust the refresh rate on a variable sync monitor, without the proprietary Nvidia hardware for the monitor. However, Nvidia is making good money charging a premium for G-sync monitors. I've seen as much as 150USD difference between the G-sync monitor and the Freesync monitor.

Yeah very reliable 2015 articles which simply compiled what they read online instead of doing testing themself lmao.

I've tested several monitors, LG29UM67 and early Benq XL2730 show quite severe ghosting but only when i play some FIFA/PES. Didn't notice any ghosting on XG270HU, Vue24B, Z35.

xAcid9 reacted to Vode in How should a 290X perform now?
It's not a rebrand. The changed the memory bus.

    290 5Gbps memory bandwidth @ 1.55 Volts
    390 6Gbps memory bandwidth @ 1.35 Volts

You're only argueing about whether it's a rebrand or not since I didn't say the 390 performed better just that it might in certain situations where the additional bandwidth comes into play. And I said his numbers seem low but yeah probably because of his CPU.

Yeah i'm a defensive fanboys because it so hard to understand your post below which say Freesync have ghosting problem on some panels and not shitposting like "Freesync is software solution that have ghosting issues." Lel.

Not once in my posts i said Freesync is better than GSYNC, i'm just pointing that ghosting is not Freesync problem in general but rather a poor manufacturing decision in some early/budget Freesync monitors which doesn't implement anti-ghosting a.k.a overdrive/strobing/lightboost/ulmb.

    No, we can read fine.

He told you it's panel specific, I told you I don't have ghosting and you said we're being fanboys and denying an issue exists. The word "nuance" doesn't exist in your dictionary.

Whether a panel has ghosting or not has nothing to do with software vs hardware. Ghosting has to do with voltage control on the pixels. Nvidia has opted to take care of it themselves with their module. AMD has opted to let manufacturers take care of it themselves, and so many of them has chosen to take shortcuts. The fact my monitor and the ones @xAcid9mentioned don't have ghosting contradicts you saying it's a hardware vs software issue, and yet you're still adamant about it and making it seem like all FreeSync monitors have this issue. THAT is being a fanboy. The only advantage Gsync has over FreeSync is that you can't use Freesync is windowed/full screen windowed mode (I just stated a weakness of AMD like I have mentioned several others in the past and I know this is still not going to matter to you). Existence of ghosting in a FreeSync panel has to do with quality control of the manufacturer, not because there isn't a "freesync module" in freesync monitors.

It's because AMD FX CPU's only have a tolerance for temp up to like 70'C. After that they shut down. I've tried that as well.

It could sound like your cpu cooler isn't mounter 100% correctly. Since it's getting so hot. Thermal paste not correctly spread?

I was going to do that same setup for a client but opted with an 860K instead, no major bottlenecking on GTA V, Witcher 3, Crysis 3, The Division. Not sure on Watch Dogs. Perhaps reinstalling GPU drivers using DDU will help alleviate the problem.

That is quite the assumption think NVIDIA is going to have that big of an influence. In the number of titles so far, I only see two that have clear ties to NVIDIA - ROTTR + The Talos Principle. Otherwise, most titles are either AMD-sponsored or independent.

As long as developers optimise the games well (not like ROTTR, Quantum Break etc.), the game will run smoothly for both vendors.

Your graphics score looks fine.  Your physics and combined scores are dragging your overall score down.  Don't EVER judge a GPU by the overall score.  Ever....  It's foolish as hell for the review sites to post overall firestrike scores when reviewing GPUs, but they almost always do....  Ignore them, look at the graphics score.

Overclock that CPU, man....you'll be a lot happier.

Valley, btw, is REALLY CPU dependent...the higher your core clock on the CPU is, the higher your score will be.  /wink
