Cheapest 4k Possible.

Go to solution Solved by aeroencychris,

That monitor is fine

Try a 1080 instead of going last gen, a single 980ti isn't enough for smooth 60fps at decent settings.

I wanna go 4k. ''In the future'' I just went on a trip/vacation so it would defiantly be a couple months before i spent a chunk of money on my pc. but damn....I was visiting my freind watching him play Uncharted 4,On a 4k monitor. And i want one now...I have 750ti and 1080p Monitor..Its very sharp to me. But i wanna go 4k for as cheap as possible. 21 inch monitor minimum. No more than $600 U.S on the GPU..

Few minuets of amazon i'm thinking.

And a 980ti.

Any ideas? Again not getting it any time soon just looking into it for the future

DAMMMMMMMM YOU FOOL

The GTX 1080 is barley more expensive that a 980ti, but has over double the performance, due to the performance boost of Pascal over Maxwell

Well the price of the 980ti has dropped considerably since the launch of Pascal, however the 1070 is a far better value. http://pcpartpicker.com/products/video-card/#sort=a8&page=1&c=224,369

I think that OP could get away with a 1070, however the 1080 is the better buy for the long run.

Wait, Uncharted 4 on a 4k monitor? Isn't the game like, 1080p/30fps to begin with?
It being played on a 4k monitor doesn't change much, it's just upscaled.

If you are going want VERY cheap 4k solution i would go for 970 2-way sli, you will be able to run 4k though only on about 40fps max, which is tolarable :) But on medium details maybe even 60 fps :) u can get 2 cards for 320$ or less
