Macks got a reaction from TheRandomness in good graphic cards for $250
If you're buying new, I'd recommend a RX 480 8GB. You can get an aftermarket one off of newegg for ~$250.

I really hope this hype train with zen/vega amounts to something because we need competition.

You could start by posting a picture of your task manager and a little more detail on what's being run on your computer.

Macks got a reaction from c0d0ps in RX 480 in CSGO
Double check and make sure the display cable is plugged into the RX 480 and not the mobo. If that's not the issue, go into the BIOS and make sure the computer is using the RX 480 as the main display device (it should do this automatically though).

Macks reacted to kirashi in Windows won't boot without my mass storage drive?
Sounds to me like Windows did the retarded thing where it put your bootloader on the WD drive, and the rest of its' files on your SSD.
Did you by chance install Windows with more than just the SSD installed? IE: was the WD HDD plugged in during install?

I'm not sure what a BCD is, but if I rebuild it on my SSD, would Windows boot without my HDD?

I'd take the option two and upgrade the processor. Loophole here I am.

Why? You are better off selling the 1st 480 and, with the money you'd spend on a second one, get single 1070. Avoid multi GPU solutions if you can avoid them.

Macks reacted to Carlos1010 in HOW DOES THE XBOX ONE S BEAT A PC?
Hi all,
As we all know the Xbox one S released for presale this week check it here http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A9022102&dgc=BA&cid=302657&lid=5756798&acd=12309224740360116c99817963&ven3=178203472718995289
And it is selling or $399 for the 2tb version. My question is that you know that this console can run 4k at HDR and you have to build a $1000+ PC to have the same performance as this console thus, WHAT GPU DOES THIS THING HAVE? I mean like its so cheap for 4k gaming????? You can barley make a 1440p gaming PC with this price. I have no clue. Thanks in advanced!

Macks reacted to D2ultima in The video RAM information guide
Ok. I did a SLI guide and now time to do a vRAM/memory bandwidth guide. A lot of people seem to be confused about vRAM in general. Well, here we go.
Let's clear up some misconceptions about vRAM!
What does vRAM size have to do with gaming?
Bonus: What happens if I don't have enough vRAM that a game asks for for certain settings?
And now resolution, Anti Aliasing and operating systems
And now about multiple monitors
Now, onto memory bandwidth and memory bus and such. You may wanna skip this if you know already and are only here for the vRAM size portion above, but I might as well be thorough if I'm doing this. Spoiler tags save the day!
vRAM types & memory clocks
Next, memory bus and memory bandwidth!
Extra: Memory bus + mismatched memory size section
And the GTX 970 gets its own section! Hooray!
FAQ
Windows 10 and nVidia 353.62
Final tidbits and stuff
I started writing this guy mainly for the top section, to denounce misinformation people seem to have regarding vRAM and its relation to memory bandwidth, but I figured I might as well just go the full mile and explain as best I can about what most people need to know about GPU memory anyway. If I've somehow screwed up somewhere, let me know. I probably have. I'll fix whatever I get wrong. And thank you to everyone who has contributed and corrected things I didn't get right! Unlike my SLI guide, much of the information here was confirmed post-writing.
If you want the SLI information or the mobile i7 CPU information guide, they're in my sig!
Moderator note: If you believe any information found in this guide is incorrect, please message me or D2ultima and we will investigate it, thank you. - Godlygamer23
