That is probably the best you can do. I believe they have discontinued it and you will have to find it used or on somewhere like Ebay

The overclock is really irrelevant when it comes to determining safe operating temperatures. Anything under 80c is perfectly safe. Whether or not your chip runs hot or not is a different story, but it sounds like you might benefit from the H100 washer mod.

TechBlitZ got a reaction from Preston in Elder Scrolls Online - Leaked Footage
Slick mention this in the most recent live stream, the footage was looked about a week or so ago and has since been taken down from youtube.

I can't wait for ESO, and as I haven't seen any footage I hunted down the leaked footage! I think it looks amazing. The footage is only 720p and I'm not sure what the graphic settings are, but it's hard to beleive it's an MMO and not another ES game.

If this is breaking forum rules then please delete my thread, but i'd love to show you guys the footage, so here you go.

(Please don't watch the footage if you don't want to see what the game looks like! There is nothing in this video that is not already known about the game, about from how it looks)

TechBlitZ got a reaction from IdeaStormer in How often do you use your tablet?
I don't see a point in a tablet really, they seem like just a novelty to have really. Although if I was going to buy one, I'd buy the 'Razer Edge' because that has better specs than most laptops, and runs a full version of windows. On that I could do pretty much anything I can do on my PC. Apart from heavy gaming / video Rendering. You could edit on it, but probably not comfortable. But it has better specs than those Mac all in ones, that I find quite amusing.

Hm, Slick/Linus should do a unbox and use one of these for the 360 version of BF3 and comment on how much BF3 sucks on 360.

TechBlitZ reacted to Salmiakbal in Does your overclock heat up your room?
Most likely your room will not heat op because of your processor. Let's assume your processor creates 100 watt of heat at full load (so that's not all the time), for reference a regular electric heater will be rated at 1500 to 2000 watt, a hairdryer at 1000 watt and a toaster 900 watt while a regular lightbulb will create around 40 watt worth of heat (these are only estimates)
What I do about a warm room? I open up a window, lol.

Memory speed on an Intel platform, when using a discrete GPU, hardly matters anymore. You can get some nice benchmark scores with 2400MHz RAM, but it will be like the difference between a PCIe 2.0 x8 and x16 slot.

I don't use anything personally, all the things I download is just small software for benchmarking and Steam games from Steam.

Can i assume you are running on a large resolution monitor then? (2560x1600/2560x1440) If not the FPS seems unreasonably low, at 1080p in benchmarks in far cry 3 the 7950 pulls ~50fps fine, and if you are running at 1080p then i suggest making sure you have the latest graphics drivers (Or which ever seem to perform best, latest isn't always best)

Overclocking past what the max set by the manufacturer has set is a bad idea. The jitter you see is errors occurring, Leave it within the safe zone, your card is a very nice card, care to explain why you need to facilitate such an overclock?

It's way to hot to wear it here (40c today) so its not going to be washed for a couple months until the weather cools down and winter comes. Before I bought it I wondered the same and went through pages of posts on the TL forums and didn't see anyone complaining so I think it will be fine in the wash.

So...I work at a Telco. Frontline sales staff and that sort of stuff. I 100% guarantee you every day, I get at least one person who I know isnt trolling...but I sometimes suspect they are.
Example: Today I had a lady come in who wanted to buy a new phone because she didnt know how to use her current one. Her current phone:

The one she wanted to buy:

Now I know im in sales and I should jump at the chance to sell anything. Wrong....oh how naive you are. Instead I urged her to practice with her current model and come back if she needed help, I would so rather fix a problem today than send it away to come back another day. Anyway her problem was that she just couldnt outright use the phone. All she wanted to do was text, on the R6, the red one... you basically push the center button about 6 times to get into the text message screen, also note it has the word for the action the button is about to press directly above the button on screen.
So...I just told her how to text, which her daughter had also written down on a bit of paper she had brought in.
Funny, only when in my mind I start to think "this person is a troll, they must be a troll....nooo...noo they cant be this stupid....troll?!...shit." Then after that its all very tiresome.

I work at a local Staples, and had a customer come in looking to plug their printer into their computer. I then point out the USB cables to her, where she tells me it isn't what she needs - because she has a new a "TOP END DELL" (her words exaclty) and it doesn't use these old connections. She then explains the cable as a regular USB end for the printer, and a headphone jack like end for the PC...... WHAT?

No doubt most of us here are the go-to tech guys for our families and friends. Or maybe you work at a job that deals with computers or other tech. So I'm sure we all have those moments: we say something that we think is super simple but utterly baffles the non-techies around us and it either cracks us up or makes us do a great big facepalm. I'm sure we can all get a good laugh out of other people's troubles, so share your stories here. I'll start.
Just last night, my mother asked me to find a movie for her. She's barely able to use email (and even asks me how to turn on and off the computer sometimes), let alone do anything else online. So instead of forcing her to navigate through Netflix (and God knows she'd never be able to), I just found the movie on Netflix for her and created a shortcut to its page on her desktop. When she asked where the movie was, I said "It's on your desktop." She turned off the monitor, moved it to the side, and started shuffling the papers on her computer desk around. She did this for a good minute and a half before turning to me and saying "Where? I don't see any tape on the desk. You mean on your desk?" I couldn't stop laughing.
So what funny stories do you all have? I'd love to hear them!
