Hello LTT Folks,
 
Throughout the course of tech reviews, there is little to no attention for how powerful and capable the software that supports the components.
It amazes me how Windows scales up to support the edge cases that are reviewed on LTT, like the 16K display for example. We take software flexibility and scalability for granted although it is a great deal. Software is what makes the hardware breaths but gets near to no attention, and all the praise is devoted to how capable the hardware is.
We saw how Windows -for example- accommodates itself to very low resources on cheap hardware, and scales up perfectly to powerful machines. The slightest example is how the default Windows background is high resolution enough to scale!
 
As a software developer and architect, how the software performs under edge cases grabs my attention and amazes me. The software, e.g. Windows, drivers, games. etc... doesn't scale if the developers didn't put this in their minds, it is a hard work from these people to provide us with stable applications that works under severe circumstances without we give that a second thought.
 
Me seeing how these software luxuries are taken for granted without being praised encouraged me to join LTT forums and raise the attention for how good and scalable the software we use is.

To be % honest with you, get a cheap OEM desktop and throw in a 750ti. Egpu for laptop non Thunderbolt is a mess. 
 
 
 
Ebay, aliexpress and amazon has adapters that will use the wifi lanes for a EGPU.

Not this again. It's not, no touch, comparability has issues since apps stops working after a OS update, touchbar is bad, keyboards are trash, multiple engineering issues. Macs are far behind Pcs now, Ipad pro is better then the newest 13 inch macbook pro/ air at this point. A surface laptop will be a much better device overall with pen support. IMO the XPS 13 looks much nicer with thinner bezels( making it tiny relatively to its size) but overall reliability wise, surface will be better.

Avoid the swift line, not the best build quality. Overall, XPS 13 and surface are awesome, go for it. Lg gram is good but not sure how well it will hold up long term. 
 
 Thinkpads are tanks, i will have my x230 working perfectly despite being over 8 years old. 
 
 

Which subject? Thinkpad t490 or x290 ( 95 for AMD)with 10th gen, they are built like a tank. 

Its not worth upgrading now, new Zen CPUs and RTX cardsare around the corners.

True, but I think it will be a very hard thing for Woz to prove.
I think the whole "Twitter did something the same day" is a silly argument. Like OP said, it's silly to expect one fairly unknown person (Woz is not that famous outside of the tech space, and even in the tech space these days) to get the same amount of attention as the Twitter breach where so many high profile people got attacked at once.
 
 
I think it's highly unlikely that Youtube dragged their feet with this. Woz's complain probably got lost in the sea of other complains Youtube gets every day. I quickly looked it up and it seems like Google got well over 2 million DMCA takedown requests every single day back in 2016. I am sure that number has grown over the last 4 years.
That coupled with the fact that 99.95% of all DMCA takedown notices Google gets are bogus means that Google is basically in an impossible situation.
 
 
We're talking about such large numbers that I don't even think we can comprehend it. Let's count conservatively and say that since 2016, the amount of DMCA takedown notices Google gets has increased by 50%, to 3 million a day.
Let's say we printed every single one of those complains on a standard A4 paper which is 0,2794 meter (279,4mm) tall. That would mean our continuous paper with DMCA complains would be:
0,2794 * 3,000,000 = 838200 meters long (838,2 kilometers).
 
That piece of paper would be so long, that it would be able to stretch across the entire coastal line of Honduras.
In just 21 days, that piece of paper would have grown to be so long it could wrap around Earth. And 99.95% of the DMCA requests are not valid. Let that sink in for a moment.
 
How anyone can think that Youtube can respond quickly in such a situation is beyond my comprehension.
 
 
 
 
If Woz wins this, the end result will be that Youtube have to ramp up the number of video takedowns in order to try and minimize the risk of accidentally not responding to a legitimate DMCA takedown notice. You think the Youtube we have today is bad when videos get incorrectly flagged as copyright infringement? It will be even worse if Woz wins this. That's why I hope he lose the lawsuit, even though his intentions are well intended.

They are responsible if there is something they can do about it but don't do something about it.  precedent has already been set in the western union case.

Lol absolutely not, Autocad runs on very old hardware, it does not need anywhere near a RTX3000 unless you're doing some very advanced simulations.
I used autocad on school machines that had integrated graphics like 7 years ago.
As long as you turn down the graphics settings it will run just fine.
 
I use solidworks now which is a more intensive than Autocad but it ran easily on my old GTX770 as long as I was using less than like 500 parts or so.
 
Also keep in mind this was all 3d. If OP is only using autocad 2d it will literally run fine on a potato.
 
I would recommend the AMD system vecause Vega 8 is a lot more powerful than intel.
