NTDaws reacted to snortingfrogs in Wut? MINIX is embedded in every modern Intel CPU
Apparently Intel is running MINIX on their CPU's (IME) and has been doing so far a while and Google don't like it very much.
Source: https://www.networkworld.com/article/3236064/servers/minix-the-most-popular-os-in-the-world-thanks-to-intel.html
This is a bit scary actually, mostly the web server part.
It's running a webserver on the CPU that one have no access to or control over.

NTDaws reacted to crua9 in JUSTICE DEPARTMENT DEMANDS FIVE TWITTER USERS’ PERSONAL INFO OVER AN EMOJI
https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/10/justice-department-demands-five-twitter-users-personal-info-over-an-emoji
I figured this would be a funny but sad thing to put on the WAN show. The USA DOJ is trying to get the following twitters personal info for sending a emoji
@Popehat, @PogoWasRight, @dawg8u, @abtnatural, and @associatesmind
Basically, someone at the FBI got mad because someone said they were the “least busy F.B.I. agent of all time.” The FBI is basically saying the people that sent the was apart of some cyberstalking.
It's obviously some SJW FBI agent that is mad that someone hurt their feelings. Actually thinking when people point out your flaws or says you're lazy is going against their safe space. I remember a while back some people coming out of the FBI were joking about those going in it need a safety blanket. Maybe that was more than just a joke.

@mynameisjuan, Saying your illegal activities on a public forum that fully cooperate with police is not the smartest thing ever.

NTDaws reacted to Princess Luna in EVGA Classified 980TI Watercooled
It isn't worth it because your CPU is so bad that it even gets destroyed by today's cheapest offering at the brand new market the Pentium G4560.
The bottleneck will be so insane it is likely your GTX 980 Ti Classified will shoot itself in the face out of frustration due to how slow the CPU is.
Then again 300 dollars is not a bad asking price at all for this hardware.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dial-up_Internet_access
I started my interest in the internet with a US Robotics internal 28.8k modem. Well it was my dads but you get the point. It sounded similar to this.

NTDaws reacted to ARikozuM in Ethernet is bad
You quite literally dial a number through your telephone line for internet; 56Kb/s.

Stoppp going ryzen if the customer can afford it. INTEL has proven being better for gaming. 8 series CPUs will last a long time
