SkylakeAlex6700k got a reaction from zsaint87 in CPU Stuck at limited to 3.6ghz no matter what.
My I7 6800k randomly decided to limit its core ratio to 36 for no good reason. I can change it in bios, but it doesn't stick to the CPU. In balanced mode, it downclocks as usual, but under load goes to 3.6ghz. On high perf mode, it's 3.6 all the time. I used to have a 4.4ghz overclock on it and I've lost a decent amount of performance.
Please help.

4.3Ghz at 1.35V I could be okay with that.

SkylakeAlex6700k got a reaction from Crunchy Dragon in GTX 1050 enough for 1920x1080 144hz?
Yeah, a 1050 isn't going to cut it for 144hz 1080p. I would say a 1070 or even a 1070ti is the BARE minimum for high refresh rate.

Why though? Linus could afford a BRAND NEW type R if he wanted.

SkylakeAlex6700k got a reaction from Aphexxis in Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This is my Intro into the Car Enthusiast Club...
I am like 3 years from owning and driving a car but would classify myself as a car enthusiast as I play Forza, Live for speed, rFactor, Drift Street Japan on PC and watch Old BBC Top Gear,The grand tour, subscribe to Cleetus McFarland, Adam LZ and so on.
My dad used to have a '67 Mustang, a 2001 Mustang GT, and a 240sx, My uncle had a '68 Thunderbird, My cousin used to have a 2005 Mustang GT Cobra and now has a 2001 Mustang GT Saleen, My other cousin has a Pontiac Firebird firehawk... I could go on.
Car enthusiasm is in my blood, and as such, I who am like I said a couple years away from owning a car, am researching what mods and engine and exhuast and ECU and that kind of stuff I am going to do to my First car (which will probably be an NA Miata (1989-1998)). Anyway, My parents currently co-drive a 2003 Honda Pilot. (My dad's Supercharged Mercedes has a misfire which is probably a vacuum leak of some sort or something.) It has a Honda J35A4 3.5l v6 10-1 compression ratio 89mm bore 93mm stroke Blah blah blah...
The plan is that after I get my (Hopefully) miata and am ready to Upgrade it... I take the Engine out of the then (probably obsolete) Honda pilot we own. There is a swap kit by mini tec that I will use (http://www.superfastmiatas.com/JV6 Miata Package.html) And all will be good. I will get coilovers too (https://store.bcracingusa.com/products/mazda?variant=15930743174), along with some nice wheels (haven't looked into it), and Tires (also haven't decided plus in a few years new ones will come out). The ECU comes with the kit (as I hope you noticed). Power wise there are a lot of threads everywhere about Frankenstein J series builds. The common theme is that the best heads in the J series are the J32A2 (2008 Acura TL) Heads(http://acura.bernardiparts.com/acura/Parts-List.aspx) as the have much more airflow in general I will use those. The best Pistons are the J35A8 (2009 Acura RL) pistons Which I will also use (http://acura.bernardiparts.com/Acura/Parts-List.aspx) as they have the valve clearance for the big valves from the J32A2 (2008 Acura TL) heads but are also a higher compression along with the fact that they are forged from the factory. If I wanted less compression i'd simply get J32A2 (2008 Acura TL) Pistons (http://acura.bernardiparts.com/Acura/Parts-List.aspx) instead. The best camshafts (which I might use) are J35A8 (2009 Acura RL) camshafts (http://acura.bernardiparts.com/acura/Parts-List.aspx). They have the highest lift of all the J series. Like I said If I wanted want less compression i'd stick to the J32A2 (2008 Acura TL) heads and Camshafts. This engine will basically be a J32A2 (2008 Acura TL) with a longer stroke. In addition to Internals I plan on a custom intake and exhaust to help the air flow better as the J35A4 (2003 Honda Pilot) could really do with better airflow. After that... probably boost, preferably "Big Boost" (That's a joke from Adam LZ's channel.)
Anyway that's my plan and also my formal hello, Let me know what you guys and gals think!
P.S. My Dream Car is either a ZO6 Corvette, A mint Nissan Skyline R32/33/34/35, A mint Nissan Silvia/240sx S13/S14/S15, A nice supercharged big block Jeep Wrangler, or a nice Mark IV Toyota Supra.
P.P.S. Sorry for the long winded post...

For future FYI your initial post was unwise and is not regarded well in this forum. You will not get positive feedback (obviously that was self evident from the first page.)
Mods will modify posts, I would suggest you use less profanity in your title and posting as we do have minors in this forum and it borderlines the Community Standards in regard to behavior.
