I just laugh when people state DX11 performance isn't important and that DX12 is the only relevant measure of performance. Do you actually think all game developers will immediately jump on DX12? It takes time for engines to mature on new API's... I reckon you'll still see DX11 titles release up until end of 2018...

G-Sync and FreeSync are designed to do the same thing, but G-Sync's implementation seemed to be slightly superior and favored by the majority. You're paying the premium for a reason it seems. The matter of, "is it worth it," is completely subjective and I'd argue no, the difference is slight and not worth $150, but there is a difference at all.

Okay if you say so. If another current Dx12 was capable of achieving it then it would be know. Their are northern for good obvious reason. If the game is not coded correctly from the start it will not have access to all of the Dx12 functions, like a dx11 port.

You can go bury your head in the sand all you want. You people would not be saying this if Nvidia had better async compute performance. PC gamers were waiting for dx 12 for a long time because it would help with the inefficiencies of all the previous APIs we've had, and asynchronous compute is the main driving factor for that. If you know another dx 12 functionality that does that please let us know. Since the company of choice of so many fanboys sucks at said functionality, they now turn to downplaying. When Maxwell came out, power consumption now suddenly became the most important thing and the amount of stupid things we've been hearing in regards to power consumption has been fucking amazing. That's apparently how it works: whatever Nvidia is good at suddenly becomes the most important thing, regardless of the fact that their "efficiency" comes from not having the extra hardware on their chips needed for things like asynchronous compute.

suck it up for one week and buy the product you want instead of giving amazon one more reason to nerf their return policy screwing the people that have legitimate reasons to use that service.

if you cant deal with not having a dedicated gpu for one week you are a sad, sad person that has no life. if theres absolutely nothing you can do in that week to the point you're gonna order a GPU to send it back next week you *must* be a sad, sad person.
 
for just one week, do something else. you may actually learn something that'll make you a smarter person.

I don't wish any ill will on you but buying something knowing you plan on returning it is kind of scummy.  You're exploiting their service for your own gain.

I suspect, buying a founder edition card is the key to win the silicon lottery. What if Nvidia keeps the better GPU-s for the FE cards, and give the rest to 3rd party boardmakers? I researched a bit, and found out, that in most cases, the founder's edition card outperfomes lower-end 3rd party, and has the same power as higher-end 3rd party board.

It had limited supply. It was a very big chip. Bad yields. Like the GTX 1080 and 1070 now. 
So it'll sell out quickly whether the demand is there or not.

It would leave way too big of a gap if there wasn't something filling in the 380X-290 range.
