Well, whatever I'll just repost that same image over here:

They should seriously stop giving my sister new phones
She broke her iPhone for the FOURTH TIME, within half a year.
I refuse replacing the screen AGAIN.
The money spent on replacing the screen is starting to become more than a new phone, and she can't go 2 months without breaking it again.

Not sure if that fits the topic, but it's annoying anyways.

So in reality, my car really has a 6.4 litre engine.

Hi, I'm coming to beg for help as I'm completely done.

I have this computer, it is not stable. It never is stable. It's not gonna be stable and it's an annoying turd. I'm at a complete loss as to why it keeps crashing.

    The specifications:

    AMD Athlon 860K @4ghz
12GB DDR3 (some 8gb kingston and some 4gb kingston of the same specs). In case you ask, yes I've ran the system with just 8GB of ram. Still crashes. Testing with 4GB is near impossible as barely any game runs with 4GB.
    Asrock FM2A88M-hd+ rev 2.0
    Gigabyte GTX 950
    Seasonic S12II 520w.

    The symptons:
It just dies. It whatever, sometimes it quits with graphical distortions over the screen, sometimes the screen just turns black and the computer becomes unresponsive, sometimes the screen turns black but sound keeps going, sometimes it just restarts.

It started doing this two or three months ago. It usually happens during gaming, but is very intermittent. Sometimes I go a week without anything going on, other times it just craps out after 5 minutes of gaming.
The computer works perfectly fine with no ill-symptons, until it just quits.

    What I tried:
At first I started with stability tests. I've tried multiple tools for the CPU and the GPU, both of which passed a ~30/32 hour stress test. Also if you run the CPU and the GPU at the same time.
I hooked a multimeter up to my power supply and noticed a lot of frequent drops to 11v or even lower. As I thought the power supply was bad, I swapped the power supply out with a brand new Seasonic S12II 520w and was confident all my problems were gone.

Basically a day after I installed the new power supply it crashed again.

I cleaned the entire PC, made sure all temps stay within their range, cleared all overclocks, ran a memtest, but it just doesn't matter.
Everything comes out fine, but the PC still runs like ass.

I DDU's the drivers multiple times, I completely reinstalled the motherboard/chipset drivers multiple times, tried all kinds of different driver versions, but no-go.

Should I just toss the entire system in the trash, light it on fire and build a new one, or is there something I completely oversaw?
I'm pulling out my hairs as I try to prevent myself from dumping the PC out of the window from third floor.

Please send help and prayers. A bottle of whine is fine too.

About protection, our school bought a lot of Apple computers because "they were way more secure"
I showed them how I could gain admin rights on those machines within 5 minutes, and using this admin account I could obtain the WiFi password and gain access to parts I shouldn't have access too.

deWaardt got a reaction from LHJKO in How many watts should a power supply be for this build?
I would recommend a 1070, or gross out a little more for a 1080 instead of crossfire 480's.

Although crossfire 480's can technically yield more frames per second than a single 1070, multi-gpu setups have always been a little sketchy and you might be dissapointed when you find that not all games can take advantage of the two GPU's or utilize it poorly and performance is not as well as expected.

I would get a 250gb-500gb ssd for daily programs, and then get another 2tb HDD for bulk storage. You wouldnt notice the increased speed of an SSD on most files, making it a terrible value. have you looked into RMAing your old drive? Many hard drives have a 3 year warranty.

deWaardt reacted to Princess Luna in Is the i5 still enough for gaming nowadays? (1080p)
You should by all means avoid getting on the unlocked i5 trap, threads are the future, BF1 and many of the most newest games have been relying much better on multi-threaded, in fact the whole purpose of DX12 and Vulkan is to increase even further multi-threading on games, therefore if you want a budget decent solution a locked i5 7500 is still okay but if you want higher end by all means do not buy the 6600k/7600k it is bad value for your money, either go with the locked i7 7700 for the same price (cheaper mobo/cooling) which will give you superior performance everywhere nowadays thanks to the hyper-threading and solid clocks or go with the i7 7700k if you do want to overclock.

The 1600x will not be the best gaming solution but its 6c/12t will still be a lot useful on multi-tasking and multi-threaded applications regardless while by all means enough for decent gaming.

Moral of the story favour threads over high core clocks nowadays if you can, the i3 and i5 Intel line ups are a bit pointless right now since g4560 is the best pure budget CPU, the 1600x the best middle term solution and i7's R7's for high end.

it's actually the other way around.

The higher the resolution the more GPU intensive it becomes and this gives the CPU more room to breathe. Lots of benchmarks show that the higher you go in resolution, the less difference the CPU makes (see bitwit 2600k vs 6700k youtube video)

The Coolermaster Seidon 120v isn't a particularly reliable cooler, lots of people are having trouble with the pump.

If you still have warranty, RMA it. The pump likely botched out.
If you don't have warranty you're going to have to purchase a new cooler, or ghettomod a new pump to the radiator.
Not sure how that works out on an AIO. Probably cheaper and better to buy a new cooler.

    And 2 giant speakers.

I think my parents just tossed it out. Shame really, was a nice machine.
