How to hack chromebook?

My school provides chromebooks for the students at my school and they block the chrome terminal (I think you can get to it by pressing CTRL+ALT+T) and I actually need that for my own geeky purposes. It's disabled in the device policy by adding it to the URL Blacklist. I can't install chrome extensions on it (they disabled that) but I can get add-ons for google docs. The add-ons are pretty easy to make. Is there any way I can exploit this to enable the terminal?

PC 1(Lenovo S400 laptop): 

CPU: i3-3217u

SSD: 120gb Super Cache mSATA SSD

HDD: Random seagate 5400rpm 500gb HDD

RAM: 8GB Crucial DDR3-SODIMM

OS: Windows 10 education

 

PC 2(2014 Mac Mini):

CPU: i5-4260u

HDD: 5400rpm 500gb

RAM: 4gb DDR3 (soldered on :( )

OS: MacOS Sierra/Windows 10 pro via bootcamp

reset it by loading into developer mode, then it should reset. Then you have the developer console.

Here is a short video I found explaining what to do.

You basically take the battery out wait for the capacitors to discharge, plug it directly into the charger without the batter, then you can enable dev mode and powerwash it.

I've never used a chromebook, but if I was in a similar situation with Windows or Linux, I'd actually start by attempting to create a symbolic link, which looks and behaves a lot like a shortcut, but doesn't change the current path you are in.

Let's say you have two drives, each with one folder, let's call them C:\Source\ and D:\Target\.

 

If you had a shortcut in C:\Source\ to D:\Target\ and did something like

C:\Source\~ cd Target

your current directory would change to

D:\Target\~

 

However if you had a symbolic link to target, doing

C:\Source\~ cd Target

would change your current directory to

C:\Source\Target\~

even though the contents of that current directory would be the files in D:\Target\, and would possibly be enough to circumvent the privileged access prevention on your device

 

EDIT: I should also mention, that like a shortcut, you can name a symbolic link anything you desire. It doesn't have to be the same name as the directory you are making a link to.

Stealing or damaging school property may lead to suspension. Maybe even expulsion if it's that serious.

 

A word of advice: Don't do it.

well knowing how to undo stuff is the first step of any hacking/dismantling but sadly its one step most beginners miss

Don't risk getting into trouble, I guarantee it that when they see that the laptop isn't being shown on to the management software they'll know.

probably just one of the school options which they can override if need be like the guy in the previously posted video said they probably store some of the data on the "bios chip" so they can load options like that on pre startup

probably not a standard bios chip anyway either way those setting are probably not stored on the bios specifically but might be stored on another chip separate from main storage to access them right away
