EVIL-LASER reacted to SpaceGhostC2C in Facebook implements email verification through asking users to supply their email password, removes feature after being called out
A user walks into a bar:
-How may I serve you, Sir?
-I'm thirsty. What may you offer?
-You can choose from water, beer, and getting shot in the face.
-I think I'll have- what? What do you mean by a shot-
- Sorry, we understand the shot in the face option isn’t the best way to go about this, so we are going to stop offering it.

EVIL-LASER reacted to mr moose in iPhones and helium don't mix
And Unless if have had a whiskey fueled brain fart, 120littres of helium expanding by 750 times only works out to 90M3 not 90,000. I think they might have fucked that entire article up. Nothing adds up.
EDIT: yep 90,000M3 of gas compressed 750 times works out to 120,000 liters, not 120L.
EDIT2: does anyone know the density of helium, I reckon it would have to be less than 30Kg in a 120 litres, that would dissipate way too fast to actually cause a problem for "iphones" only, let alone any phone.
EDIT3: the picture they claim is an MRI machine is actually a CT scanner, I know this because they are wearing rings which that close to an Actual MRI machine would likely tear their fingers off , let alone the metal tags on the nurses neck cards and the fact the patient has a radiation apron on (MRI's are not radioactive).

EVIL-LASER reacted to S w a t s o n in *SNAP* - Slider phones are back, Xiaomi’s Mi Mix 3
Eh I really disagree that a smartphone doesnt have to last longer than 2 years because it's not $800 or something. It's gonna retail at $500 which isnt even budget level anyways. That's the original flagship price

EVIL-LASER reacted to HalGameGuru in Another Complication In Processor Design :(
Sounds like its time to move up to vacuum chambers, UV lasers, and multi-head etching. imagine a grid of a dozen or more tiny UV lasers in a vacuum chamber over a silicon wafer, light and plasma being manipulated by the tiniest fractions of a nanometer via super strong magnets, and masks (if needed) that are arced, deep, and channeled like those sculptures that are thin planes of metal that can only be seen, and seen thru, from a specific angle

EVIL-LASER reacted to Carlos Andrade in More Intel leaks.. this one is not good though
Apparently, this flaw is " present in modern Intel processors produced in the past decade." So basically, every Intel CPU that is not obsolete, and a few obsolete ones too. Almost all laptops run Intel. 60-50% of desktops run intel. This means there are likely over two billion pc's at risk. (Edit: was using total number of pc's it 2011, corrected for 2017 metrics)
