Tenshi017 reacted to Energycore in Should I bail on my Raidmax
For $45 today, an EVGA 600B is a pretty decent PSU
Thankfully the quality standards for PSUs have gone up through the years. Back in '11 the CX was considered a great platform.

Corsair AF120's are good, I have four and they provide more than sufficient cooling.
Thermaltake riings look sick too, both of these options come with different colours.

Well, if you have the money to get more ram, not a bad idea. Though take your time browsing to get the best price you can.

Tenshi017 reacted to You_are_a_cunt in rx480 best gpu under $200 ?
I assume that $200 price tag is before board partners get their hands on the cards, so expect actual prices to be closer to $300. Even at that price it's a hell of a card if the benchmarks are to be believed

Tenshi017 got a reaction from XamN in Ram and Motherboard
To answer your first question, there is no ram that is amd (unless you are talking about Radeon memory) and there is definitely no LGA ram you may have gotten confused by the listing. LGA (land grid array) refers to the serface mount packaging for integrated circuits.
Next you mentioned a ram module kingston kvr667d2/2gr this is ddr2 laptop memory, unless you want to add ram to a desktop pc this ram won't work this only can go in a laptop.
Next you said you got this motherboard: Intel E210882 D945GCZLKR this board actually uses ddr1 and is socket LGA 775 I can't find much information on this board but judging by its only 10 dollars on eBay, i dont think it would be fun to use.

Tenshi017 reacted to comicsansms in Worried about current psu
Your PSU looks nice as you said, and it is low end. You should upgrade of you want to get a GTX 1080, but then again like most people on the LTT forum including me tell people to over do it on the PSU (Which is a good thing).
The Corsair RMi is a very good supply and 650W is enough for 2 GPU's.
White PSUs:
The Seasonic Snow Silent is Fully modular Platinum Supply
The Silverstone NightJar is a Fully modular Platinum Supply
The Fractal Design Tesla R2 is a Semi modular Gold supply (Mid tier)
You can probably find more white PSUs, but I just did a quick google.

Tenshi017 reacted to paddy-stone in Same GPU, Upgraded System - Crazy Lag
Sounds like it may be using the iGPU instead of the discrete GPU, check the BIOS to see which is set there, also check for BIOS update for mobo... and if that is already set there, maybe try a different driver version for the GPU.
