cd5josh got a reaction from r1Ns3 in Need help picking good airflow cases
I think the reason they define a case as good for watercooling is because it has plenty of room inside for res, rads, etc.
otherwise, have you considered the raven rv05? its a 90 degree mounting for better air cooling.

cd5josh got a reaction from Trik'Stari in Nvidia GTX 960..........WATER BLOCK!
this was my thought, or perhaps its for aesthetics, because a custom loop for only the cpu can leave a pc looking pretty barren

cd5josh got a reaction from Riccardo in Pet peeves when it comes to people building PCs
I saw a customer build in person at the local frys. It really urked me. It was a corsair 900d case with 30 led fans if I remember correctly, plus led strips in every nook and cranny. It looked like a green road flare. So overdoing leds is a peeve of mine.
He also had 2 $100 fan controllers (can't remember brand but it was his word)
Then he mentions he has a gtx960. So you spent $300 on corsair fans and $200 on fan controllers, but you cheaped out on a 960?

cd5josh got a reaction from SteveGrabowski0 in Enthoo Pro GPU cooling setup?
I know mine is a luxe, but i kept my hard drive cages in so i could attach the 2 120mm fans inside the case, and left the 200mm fan in the front. I also have a 240mm fan as intake on the bottom under the shroud, you can just see the edge of it.

cd5josh got a reaction from lol1290 in Do you think Violent Games= Violent People?
I think competitive games have a higher chance of creating a violent person. At least in my case, i rage more when losing a competitive game, rather than say, dieing on witcher 3.

cd5josh got a reaction from 0ld_Chicken in macro / fast changing playback device
is there a faster way to change playback device from headset to speakers and vice versa than the traditional way?
Windows 8.1 I have a logitech g710 keyboard with macros free, So i was wondering if there is a script that macro or something that i could run ingame that could change quickly. Or is there a way to set my playback to have my wireless headset as default, unless turned off which my speakers would be secondary and start automatically?

And I am still rocking my 2011 turtle beach x12s and love them.

cd5josh got a reaction from kameshss in So i3 4150 with 750 Ti or A10-7850k with R7 250?
when you can get a 960 for cheap, or a 970 for a reasonable price id say a 750ti is a light gaming gpu especially because i bet you cant get anywhere near 60fps at 1080 and high settings on any AAA

i would say the i3 too, hyperthreading will allow you to play some quad core games, and the 750ti is a solid gpu for light gaming.

cd5josh reacted to gluconolactone in G2a is to blame for an account hack?
Sometimes customer support can give you access to an account whose password you forgot if you supply them with a retail CD Key you used to activate a game, to prove that you are the owner.

cd5josh got a reaction from waterboy_trick in H100i GTX
Are you going to cut tubing and reseal it around the current tubing?
I personally don't like the idea. Paint can trap more heat inside, especially the rubbery plastidip

cd5josh got a reaction from DrtyDiesel in Anyone else buying the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX?
I did a closed loop, but reconsidering that. I also wanted a 5.25 drive, and the luxe has more radiator space. But the outside of the evolv does look pretty smexy

cd5josh reacted to Naeaes in H100i GTX
Yeah. Leave the radiator openings without paint. I actually don't know if it matters if there's paint on the sides of the radiator but on the tubing and the top of the block it can't matter. They wouldn't use rubber or plastic on the parts if it was supposed to radiate heat there.

cd5josh got a reaction from DrtyDiesel in Anyone else buying the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX?
Nope, because ive got an enthoo luxe.
If i didn't have a luxe, no, because I think all the predrilled holes and open space is an eyesore.
And Most people are doing custom water cooling loops to fill that gap.

cd5josh got a reaction from don_svetlio in suggest me , stealth/assassination games
I loved the hitman games, absolution was pretty good. but I actually prefered blood money instead. I think it kept the same quality of the original games better. Absolution had some unusual missions compared to plain assassinations.
Splinter cell Blacklist has some of THE BEST stealth gaming multiplayer (splinter cell chaos theory being better in its glory days). And in my opinion one of the best team based fps games of all time. Basically its spys vs. special ops. Spys have to sneak in and hack computers in the mercenaries base, mercenaries defend with guns while spys only have gadgets and their hands to kill.
Payday 2 has some unique features, nothing to write home about, but it is a good value of entertainment for the buck.
