SwiftXShadow got a reaction from ch3w2oy in Gaming - 3600 or 3700X?
u should go 4 cores, as u wont need more.
Having 4 cores and higher Ghz is better then 6 or 8 cores with lower Ghz
What yo u want is the highest Ghz you can possibly get for a single core and for the 4 cores working all the the same time.

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from Taintedmind in RTX 2070 at 50-75% and CPU at 20-45% usage
also if your monitor is like 60hz and a 1080p no kidding a 2080 will hardly have to work to run those games.
A 2080 could easelly run a 4k monitor
It isnt a bottleneck the GPU simply has nothing to do. Its like giving a bodybuilder a 20kg weight to lift.

as long as you dont have low fps as in under your monitor Hz it does not matter what your video card runs at. Find a program to stress test your video card like Furmark, that will make the GPU go to 100%

SwiftXShadow reacted to Skiiwee29 in heat free Build?
For "heat free" your best option is to get something like a Raspberry PI and load up a linux distro on it and use that. About the lowest amount of heat you will find. Or maybe one of those intel PCs on a stick if they still exist.

SwiftXShadow reacted to Froody129 in Where do you discuss VR stuff?
I don't know if this has been a discussion in the past but I think that a dedicated VR subforum would be quite welcome.
There are quite a lot of threads asking about VR and the various topics surrounding it and I think having a dedicated subforum with some pinned guides would make it easier to solve problems

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from Slottr in Would you get a HTC Vive or Oculus Rift
Thats like saying video games games in 80s and 90s were a gimmick, and next to what we have today they were, but that didnt stop any of us playing them none stop.
I think it will still take a couple decades before VR will surpass PC gaming, since i dont see PC gaming evolution coming to a stop anytime soon.

SwiftXShadow reacted to m0k in Making a budget mining rig. Will this GPU MOBO CPU combo work? DELL PRECISION T3500 MOTHERBOARD / XEON W3530@2.80Ghz

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from PatrickK in Whats coming after 1080 ti?
why not, they just make more money that way.
Even if nvidia had nobody to compete with, gaming will still evolve and demand better cards. People will always want better fps for their games, if amd cant keep up that just means more money for nvidia, the further back amd gets the more money will nvidia make.

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from Misanthrope in Gaming laptop?
laptops are like 2x more expensive then normal computers.
Prebuilt computers are like 1,5x more expnsive then self built computers
A self built computer for 500-600$ could prolly run games on 1080p. Though not sure if on ultra, prolly not.

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from CookieMaster in Quadro and GeForce in one machine?
that octa core must be crying itself to sleep every night that it has to work with a fcking 780 ti
and yes u can sli 2 1080
u can run three 1080s if u want

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from Vasllo in i7-4790k OC vs No OC
If you have friends then the OC value instantly goes up, for braging rights, that is actually 10x more important then worksation stuff.
If you have no freinds then OC is pointless.

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from derick90 in Laptop for school and light gaming for a round $500
Somehow i doubt that there is anything where a: laptop, 500$ and gaming can be put in 1 sentence
however self built PC, 500$ and gaming, yes
indie games sorta need a gpu too nowadays, unless u mean minecraft

SwiftXShadow got a reaction from marcelo_javier in Help choosing new gaming laptop + OS
reacent does not mean better. Thats like saying vista is better then XP.
I like 10 but it is still far to new, A LOT of stuff does not work on it.
-
SwiftXShadow got a reaction from marcelo_javier in Help choosing new gaming laptop + OS
second one is better for gaming, proccessor isnt the most important part of a gaming pc.
Also imo games are starting to get to the point where 8gb of ram kinda sucks but will run sucks 16gb of ram is great

SwiftXShadow reacted to SeanAngelo in What is the difference between these CPUs?
no difference. same processor but might be packaged differently.
