clementk got a reaction from CrustyTissue in Surface pro 4 or nah?
Currently using the surface pro 4 as my laptop for collage and i cant be happier. the screen is just amazing for normal web and documents ( i have the i5 4gb ram one) . for programing it works perfect with IDE's like Netbeans and visual Studio and more. i have not run VM on it as i did not have the need for it yet. THe keyboard typecover is way better then most laptops i have used and even prefer it to most cheap desktop keyboards. the battery life is good not amazing i get around 4 houres on 50% screen running with Wifi on and 2 IDE's open but the charger is so small i don't mind taking it with me. it can even run older game or indie games perfectly in off time ( the performance does dip down when its not plugged in but that's only in really intensive games and it can even run 4k youtube without being plugged in. if you want to play games i would suggest you install intel drivers and add the custom resolution of (1368x912) this is the native resolution/2 so it looks really good when you want to play games.

But i am really happy with the surface pro 4 and i think the screen is the prefect size for portable.

This is just what i did today as i am waiting for my watercooling parts and i really wanted to start to do something.
this was done with stuff i just found in my room and did not need to buy anything so its a bit geto but i came out really good so i though i would share it hoop you like it.

firstly i wanted to say sorry i did not plan to post this so i did start to take pictures a bit late but it is simple to see what i did.

I start with a piece of plastic that i cut out of my Logitech G930 heasphones box the corner to be exact.

    http://imgur.com/3yePa5k

Then i toke some type and started to do the details for me its just 2 simple stripes you need to do the details first and use acrylic paint but on the inside so you don't see the brush marks. As shown by the pictures

    http://imgur.com/a/m0oQ1

After you did your details you can just finish with the other color for me this was Black.
if you did it right your should look like this

    http://imgur.com/a/9Ek7u

and finely all i did was add a small piece of the same plastic and used it to screw it in with the motherboard screw.

    http://imgur.com/a/DAxpy

Again sorry for this not being a tutorial on how to do it like i said was not planing on it just though some of the pictures might be good in my build log but then i saw someone asking about it
*it looks much better in person as the flash it a bit to strong and just shows to much

will do a follow up post on how i also did it to the Ram to make it look a bit better ( since the ram is a ugly blue and i want to get some other ram latter i though why not )

its surprising because its not just a 20% increase from the 980.. its double beating out the Titan X thats a +$1500 card. they could have mad this card $700 and it would still have sold..

clementk got a reaction from W-L in H440 Glass side panel :D
So i wanted to do this for a long time but i did not want it to be to expensive. I normally do mods that are cheap to do and i did not think i would have a way to this cheap but then i i found the stuff and it cost less the $15 :D.
So first i had to measured the hole from the side window.(mine was around 11"x16") so where i found the glass was actually at a Wallmart. i was just looking in the Picture frame area and found a frame that was 12"x16" it was like ($5) then i needed a way to stick it to the side panel so i  looked around and i found some magnetic tap and tough it might be good to clean the glass when i need to. So i got home and wanted to see if it all fits

This is just some pics of the plastic side window.
I had to bend all the pins down as level as i can(can cut them but i did not want to).
I measured the amount to see if the magnet strips would be thick enough for the glass. it ended up not being enough so i added some double sided tap and it was enough  lucky.
Next i had to cut some of the sound padding.
Next i cut the magnetic strips and the double sided tap and placed them around and then placed the glass in place.
And that was it  really cheap and easy glass replacement.

I will do a update to my build log as alot had changed in the build since i last posted let me know if you want to know something
