FirePro is AMD's older workstation GPU lineup, similar to NVIDIA's Quadros. The W5000 is a fairly old card, but it's often sold for cheap, and it performs well as a budget gaming card. It's a lot better than most of the other cards people are suggesting, it's just slightly out of your price range.

(By the way, why aren't you buying the 1030 as soon as possible? That's actually a pretty good price for that card, if you already have the money on hand you should probably buy it)

That card would be slower than HD4000 graphics in the 3770.

To be fair, I don't think I've ever had JS break like this with a VPN.
It's possible that they have something in the VPN settings that automatically blocks trackers/ads/malware, which mistakenly blocks PIA as well.

What's the usage of cpu/gpu when playing games? I'm sure the 10400f is still fine so you might be gpu bound

Instead of spending $30 on a graphics card, spend it on ram.

Any $30 GPU won't provide much of a performance improvement over the integrated graphics that are already present in this CPU, assuming you have some dual channel ram.

See what's available in your local classifieds. Shipping is going to be a significant part of $30 for places like eBay.

I wouldn't be quick to blame Windscribe for this. There may be another explanation.

What location were you connected to with Windscribe? That element on PIA's website is based on your location (from your IP address) to show the pricing of the plans in your local currency. When I view that page it shows prices in AUD as I'm from Australia. I wonder if it's just not displaying because it cannot determine your location properly or if it thinks you're in a region that they don't service.

Try with some other VPN provider websites to see if they also have issues when using Windscribe.

You just need to unplug your system from the wall, take out your CMOS battery for about a minute, and then put it back in.

The CMOS battery is a round silver battery on your motherboard that powers your BIOS chip (which keeps your BIOS settings) after you turn off your PC. Taking it out resets your BIOS settings, even if you don't have access to the BIOS menu.
Some motherboards also have a 'clear CMOS' jumper or button, which does the same thing; however, this is usually only present on high end motherboards, and your motherboard likely doesn't have it if it's a prebuilt.

NunoLava1998 reacted to BondiBlue in Bought a roughly $2500 dual Xeon computer from 2012 for $50, what should I do with it? pics and specs below
That's a nice find! IMHO it's too old for 24/7 operation as a server (it'll be quite power hungry, even at idle), but there's still plenty of room to upgrade it further. I think that board supports dual X5690s, and those coolers should be able to handle the heat. Upgrading to dual Xeon X5690s would bring it up to a total of 12 cores and 24 threads. You might be able to get up to 96GB of RAM working, though that would probably be a bit tricky.

Even though it's older that's still a pretty damn capable system for a lot of things. I'd love to see what you end up doing with it.

Put Linux on the SSD, use the 500GB disk for storing files and folders and don't use it for gaming. Perfectly OK for everything else, office work (LibreOffice), web, emails, this forum, downloading and playing music and all the other things computers are used for.

Bargain? Depends how expensive such things are in your country. Did it include monitor and keyboard?

It depends on what OP's intended usage is, as I am currently using an i7-2600 (upgraded from an i3-2100) for web and media. But in general, unfortunately, I must agree. You can build this brand-new or a bit better for $400 USD. And while $400 USD doesn't get you much these days, I think you can do better.

did you try the basics, like clearing cmos, trying with one stick of ram at a time in different slots? if not, try those.

Have you ever done any university papers or, hell, even high school projects? Just like those, citations are given for any relevant fact. Crowd sourced isn't the gotcha you think it is. Many of my papers and projects back in uni were "crowd sourced" (via my project groups,) but it didn't mean it was any less factual so long as you could link it to your sources.

If anything, they're playing into the stereotype that Wish sells shitty knock off items and simply steered into that. Nothing inherently racist about that. And they likely went with Wish because they know these sort of builds bring in the eyeballs. Some random website no one has heard of won't be as quickly clicked.
