the project is on hold for now... i built a computer for a friend to game during covid so i dont have anything m-atx/itx left to actually put in the case.
also i tried all the fans but they wouldnt spin so i got rid of them

Right now i am using the case as a night stand XD

Defective usb port happens. unplug and replug to the motherboard. if still defective try another usb port on the board. you can also get a quick look a the usb cable on the inside of the case on the port end, if the cable is too bent it cause damage (happend to me). i pushed my front top fan up too much and damaged the usb cable by bending it

chen57 got a reaction from Mateyyy in Does MAX temp for RAMs exist??
    yes thats ok temps
    from what i found:
Ddr4 is rated for up to 1.5 volts 24/7 and temperatures of 81c before damage can occur. However temperatures above 40 degrees cause stability issues and random errors. And temps above 50 degrees Celsius can cause system crashes and huge errors on otherwise stable ram overclocks

Fan grills never even crossed my mind, Excellent idea!

Now I might just cut big holes in the front panel and mount fan grills to it. Id like to keep some sort of front there as there are cables being hidden behind.

To make music sound better here are your options from best value for money to worst.
    1, remove 'enhancements'
    2, use a lossless file
    3, get better headphones
4, get an external audio solution

Just an update even tho no one cares,

The sub works perfectly with my Lepy 2020A and my Klipsch 14-m speakers and the sound is amazing. I'm gonna upgrade the amp and get a good DAC in the future but for now I am pleased.

First of all, there are a lot of amps I would suggest over that one but to make things very blunt, your subwoofer will need a crossover to ensure it's only getting a bass signal and isn't trying to produce the whole spectrum. This amp can't do that and I'd suggest you don't try and use a single board 2.1 system either since clipping class D amps can send DC voltage to a speaker and fry it. If you want to run a subwoofer get a proper amplifier.

chen57 reacted to ShearMe in Sound system for a 5m Living room
The real question is your budget, and how much work you want to put into it. A proper system is half room treatment, and half actual speakers.

Nowadays, higher end soundbars sound pretty good with minimal effort.

I also added some white pcie slot cover that i got from my old fractal design case

So where i work i take care of the electronic recycling and i got something pretty cool recently. Old mac pro not working ! Since i have a old cpu collection i was happy to add those 2 cpu to my collection. at the same time i told myself why not also get the case and try to mod it ! I didnt think about sharing this before so i dont have pictures of before i start working on the case. it is in pretty good condition and the fans also seem to be ok, i might reuse them.
Last weekend i removed everything from inside to clean it and try my test psu in. i think this will be cool ! there is only enough space for a m-atx but im fine with that since i actually have a m-atx board, a i5-2500 and 8GB of ram. I also got all of that from the electronic recycling over time. People dont know what they throw away some times

Thats pretty cool though. I've got a side panel-less Mac Pro, I believe its a A1186 that I've been thinking about toying around with by making a conversion with it as well. I've been looking at kits for the back IO from The Laser Hive but in terms of fitting an ATX motherboard inside, I was thinking about a conversion plate. They bolt on using the same mounting studs for the original motherboard and has holes for ATX motherboards. The case is in rough shape so I'm really on the fence with this one.

    There's so many factors:

    1. Fan Curves
    2. Ambient Temp
    3. Case Location/Surroundings, etc.

since the coolant didn't cause the defect, just don't tell them you spilled and clean it off.

Time to mod that GPU. Made a metal bracket that screws in to the heatsink.

And final look with a cover over the fans for the GPU.

I know its a risky move with a full Noctua themed build but i have wanted it for so long just not been sure how to execute it.

The Parts are my old ones:

    Case: Fractal Design Meshify C
    Mobo: Asus Prime z370 -p
    CPU: Intel 8600k
    GPU: Gigabyte 1080 windforce
    PSU: Corsair RM650x
    Ram: Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000Mhz CL15 Vengeance
    Cooler NH-D15
Accessories: Cooler Master Vertical GPU holder + Risercard

A rough idea in photoshop and some ideas later this is the sketch of how i wanted it at the end. (No im not that good with photoshop, i know)

First off to see how the colors match and a small mod to the power button.

Then its off to paint the rest off the parts and puck it back together.

And for a complete look with some noctua fans.
