HairyPotter

So i had this setup for almost a week and it’s been seriously having some temp problems with this fan setup, any kind of help? I am getting very high temps with my 2700x/5700 xt on the h100i platinum aio and h500i case, i am getting max temps on the cpu of 75c on an aio!! And 95c on the gpu

Are these temps while gaming or what?

Are these temps under load? Any OCs active?

What's your ambient temp? Are you sure you have a good mount on your AIO?

Yea, the AIO purchase was totally a waste of money, but it looks cool. Cooling a 2700x however, its not going to do better than the stock cooler.

Having said that, the cpu temp is good.

Your GPU is way hot.

Flip fans on the rad to intake. You're pulling the air from the video card fans.

Turn the back panel and top to exhaust.

If you have the rad with fans on both sides for push pull config, turn all four to intake.

So changing the fans to intake on the rad and the case fans to exhaust should fix it right? I have seen some people put the fans behind the aio will that be better? And i have see some people put the fans further into the aiomount

The only bummer about using a radiator as Intake is the Cpu heat is dumped into the case. Doesn't matter where you put the fans at that point.

Usually you want a case that can support the rad at the top, exhaust that way and the front case fans are Intake while the rear and top is exhaust.

But for what I can see, just flip the fans over from where they are at, you should see a difference on the gpu temp.

I almost built my sister's PC in that case because it was available at BestBuy, but when I stopped at the local PC shop they had a different case for the same price so I snagged that Corsair case there and returned the NZXT case to BestBuy.  That single fan spot at the top of the case is ridiculous.

If my sister ever gets an AIO she can install it at the top of the Corsair case I ended up choosing and keep the front fans as intake for the GPU.  She also liked that the Corsair case didn't have the optional windowed side panel.

Good air flow is definitely important.

I run open table on my rigs. The rest of the famo, they got cases.

Have a SilverStone TJ07 I haven't used in years. Thing is a monster.

Hey so my gpu temps really dropped but i have no idea if this cpu reading is correct it’s pretty scary after a stress test on both after changing the fans again

edit: ok so i checked aida 64 fpu and cache were also selected for stress testing after disabling them and checking on cpu and gpu, cpu topped at 70c and gpu at 85

@ShrimpBrime will help.  I'm out right now.  I will say use HWiNFO and not HWmonitor.

70*C is much better.

If your AIO fans + pump is running on Auto right now, you could set-up a custom fan/pump profile to further tweak the temperatures + noise to your liking.

You can also drop the Core Voltage down a bit in BIOS.

1.4xx V for a 3900X is a tiny bit on the high side.

Dropping the voltage down to 1.3x V range can also help drop temperatures.

You really need to try using HWinfo64 as @nick name suggested.

The readings you have now aren't accurate.

I checked hwinfo set a fan curve for both cpu and gpu, max cpu= 70c and max gpu=80c

When looking at CPU temps check Tdie as Tctl has the added 10*C that Ryzen 2000 CPUs will report.

That seems too high for that load.  Is the side panel on the case?

Yes it is, but in gaming it isn’t reaching as high as the aida 64 fpu stress
