TheDigitalRealm reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Swapping Out my 2GB GTX 770?
Best bet is a 2011 board or Z97 that supports 4 way SLI, along with 4 Titan Blacks.
EDIT: Just feel like I should put a note here. @KingCry even this isn't going to let you run games on high settings with decent FPS. I'd expect something like medium mixed with high settings at best.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from Prodigydeadeye in Which PSU should I use?
As previously stated, I would recommend the Xfx unit that you linked in your previous posts. It's a higher quality Power Supply than the RM850 series. Explained in my first post.

He recommended the XFX PSU over Corsair's RM line.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to Tacitus in Questioning r9 290 for my build...

PCS+ $500 - I appreciate it's slightly costlier, but it's one of the best 290x's and supposedly comes with Hynix memory which is better for overclocking. It's two-and-a-half slots though, if that matter to you.

I'm sorry, what? Please stop doing this, wasn't it you posting the damn Titan Z thread?
Out of the three cards, the R9 290X is the best performer at 1440p. Go for the XFX R9 290X.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from kks21199 in 290/290X 2-way crossfire vs 295x2
He only has 16 lanes... All of which will be taken by the GPU.
In my opinion, considering you're getting an Enthoo Primo, I'd go with two 290X cards in 2-way Crossfire. The case will look empty with a single GPU.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to Izaya Orihara in Is it a good mid-tower choice for budget?
To frikken help you.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to Izaya Orihara in 4770K vs 4790K
The difference are: Sligthly less power hungry, running less hot due to a better TIM, being able to achive higher overclocks due to lower temps. Also it's like 500 mhz higher clocked out of the box.
Is that worth a premium to you? Yes? Get the 4790k. No? Get the 4770k.
Personally I'd get the 4790k because I like to do some fun overclocking and because Devil's Canyon just sounds baller.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from maazster in Graphene vs Silicon
Graphene has a cacophony of different uses. I don't know the specifics about its advantages, but the main disadvantages have been on the manufacturing end, and trying to apply it to make a practical product, like a CPU.

Does anyone even care about this game?
I mean, I guess it's fitting considering the rising police state in America... Yep, my Tin Foil hat is on nice and tight today.

Ditto! It looks amazing as it is, but once it's fully optimised and updated.

I can't wait to experance the Arena Commander in its full polished glory.

I double this. I absolutely love the case
, I wish prices around the world would all be the same MRP, I understand why it's more there, but I still find it unfair.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from TheDeadGhost in UOLTT: Operation Monarch (To Capture a <REDACTED>)
Sounds like a candidate for Royal guard to me. By the way, after reading the non-redacted copy, it's actually pretty easy to guess what's blacked out.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from ShearMe in bose vs Sennheiser
Bose make above-average sounding products, but then charge a 'Woah, this product is amazing!' premium for their products. Sennheiser make very competitive sounding cans and don't charge an arm and a leg for the experience.

You'd be surprised. I'm not expecting this to run any hotter than the reference designs, it may run a few degrees cooler actually.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to Humbug in [DigitalFoundry] Was there really a Watch Dogs graphics downgrade?
I don't think the textures changed. I think the lighting, and particle effects were toned down.
I think blaming consoles is wrong, and it's not something we as PC gamers should practice.
This thing struggles to run even on powerful PCs. At this point you have to question the competency of the developer. There are plenty of examples of cross-platform games that work on the consoles and while on gaming PCs they look beautiful while running well at high framerates. Games like tomb raider, sleeping dogs, Crysis 3. Games that look better and run better.
We've seen a plethora of performance issues. My neighbor has a 280x and it stutters at resolutions under 1080p in watchdogs. While he can play crysis 3 without a hitch.
So if the game is that inefficient or if the game engine is that bad maybe they had to tone down the graphics prior to release... just to make it playable.
