[Star Citizen] Travis Day talks about the future of Arena Commander

Wauthar

I saw this summary of an interview with Travis Day, one of the developers, on the RSI forums.

It is a good read, it gives us some insight of what we can expect in Arena Commander.

I especially like this quote:

So we will be adding all those stacking layers where all of a sudden, Arena Commander is you flying from system to system and boarding ships, moving cargo and at a certain point, you realize this is the alpha for the PU.

The people at CIG are taking our feedback and turning it into something that we are all happy with.

Same here. After spending a good hour with both kb+m aand controller, and finding out how to turn coupling back on, I've managed to get pretty far in Vanduul Swarm.

Ditto! It looks amazing as it is, but once it's fully optimised and updated.

Is it bad that I want to "seed" the entire universe with missiles waiting to attack the next person that comes by....That sounds a lot like a form of mines to be honest.  Makes things treacherous and the universe just a little more scary.

I liked everything that I read.  Especially the multiplayer ship stuff!

Here is the video on youtube. I have been watching Tales of Citizens for a while now they seem to know what they are talking about and have some decent ideas and discussion. Also their alpha boot camp videos are good if you are getting started and don't want to read a million articles to get info.

These guys are quite well hyped so they did a lot of research. Most of the stuff is well thought through and it's a nice podcast to listen to. One thing I found a little less pro was the episode on the peripherals. Most of this stuff is speculation and they are not hardcore simmers so they didn't get a chance to use most of the stuff they talk about. other than that it's real nice.
