That's why you go to a viewing of the item to make sure it all works, and watch the drives being wiped and having windows re-installed.

Edit: this is a joke. If you are offended easily please ignore. Not to be taken seriously.
Just talk to her. Ask her to get coffee with you or watch a movie. Just don't be creepy.

Yea it seems the COC needs a looked at again to accommodate the growing community. There are some grey areas that need to be clarified. Like the one @LoneRangerS had.

TheDigitalRealm reacted to xXGadfly09Xx in Besides the 980, 980ti, and titan, is there any reason to buy NVIDIA?
The 980ti is a monster and the titan is just that, a titan. The 980 is a beast too, overpriced but a beast non the less. However the gtx 950,960, and 970 arent worth buying anymore.

Lets go from the top down,

    the r9 390 > gtc 970 AND the r9 390 is CHEAPER

THe r9 290 is slightly more expensive than the gtx 960 4gb AND beats it handily

even if we go price comparison
    the r9 380 > gtx 960 at BOTH the 2gb and 4gb price points

as for the gtx 950 the r9 285 is THE SAME PRICE and is better than the gtx 960 let alone the 950

IS there anything I am missing or does it seem that from a price to performance standpoint team red is winning in the sub $250 price range?

Then i suppose the issue may lie not only in the influx of new members, but the non-standardized rules that each forum mod seems to be going by.

Any time you lower the the voltage you will need to do some testing to ensure it is "stable", no way around that, so if you don't have the time leave it at the -31mv

I would not go any lower than -31mv without a custom BIOS and if you do a custom BIOS just remember to flash the original BIOS when you do a driver update, bricking is 80% sure to happen if you don't.

In my experience it's just the same few people every time. A loud minority. I'm partly at fault too for not resisting the urge to call them out on their bs. But I think we must draw a line between those who are fanboys and those who are simply wrong because they received false information. Everyone can be wrong every once in a while (or even pretty often depending on their level of experience, we're here to learn too), what matters is accepting the facts when they are presented to you and admitting your mistake.

As others on this topic thread have already told you, for your CPU under-volting really isn't going to give you any benefits in terms of power consumption and thermal performance. I'd leave it at Auto buddy.

If you were using something more powerful like a 5820K or above, then it'd make more sense, especially if you were planning on a mini-itx or mATX build in a small chassis where excess heat would be a problem.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from TheRetiredSlave in G-Sync Still Worth It?
Well, before you read my post, it might be a good idea to read up on what g-sync and competing technologies do, and the problems they solve.
Watch Linux's fast as possible video on freesync: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ey-KObDABI
And his NCIX g sync video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fghQh0Y4oA4
Is G-sync dead? No, I don't think it is, nor do I think that it is dying. Far from it, eventually I think the technology will be ubiquitous without the price premium of today's models of G-sync monitors.
I think the reason that some. May think it dead is because it's been out for roughly 2 years give or take, with many manufacturers releasing multiple models of their monitors with G-sync, but despite the competition, the price of g-sync monitors is incredibly high compared to none g-sync counterparts of the same resolution. For example: my 60Hz 1440p IPS monitor cost me £230. The Acer G-sync equivalent with an IPS monitor and 144Hz refresh rate costs over £600. At the price it's currently sitting at, it's at too much of a premium for most gamers to justify.

I'd definitely recommend the note 3. In terms of hardware specs it's really only marginally worse than the note 4 that I'm currently using. As much as Sense is my overall favorite 3rd party android skin, being one of the lightest, for productivity and multitasking TouchWiz is pretty darn amazing. I'm also hearing that it's been slimmed down significantly for 5.0 and that's looking to be the case based on what we're seeing in the S6 and S6 edge.
I've only ever used the One M7 which I did think was an amazing phone, but being a power user and a big phone lover, the note is the best option for getting through the day.

TheDigitalRealm got a reaction from -TesseracT- in When the framerate goes above the maximum refresh rate with G-sync
Yes, as can most people as it's an effective doubling in refresh rate. The difference between 120Hz and 144Hz is much smaller, however, and so most people can't tell. Asking to have a constant 144fps AND have a smooth experience is asking for the impossible. G-Sync won't help you with what you're asking for, as it's only going to smooth out gameplay between 30Hz and 144Hz. When any monitor hits a refresh rate cap with G-Sync, V-Sync automatically kicks in anyway, so it's the same experience with or without G-Sync. G-Sync isn't going to help you with your situation unfortunately.

In your situation, I would agree with you and recommend playing without G-Sync or V-Sync if you want to maintain a 144Hz refresh rate, and just live with the tearing. You won't be getting any input latency that way either. I think that would be the best compromise

I used Plasti-Dip on my 290X Lightning backplates and they came out pretty nicely. The only thing I'd recommend is adding some fine grit after spraying the first coat or two to help the next few coats stick properly as those backplates are very smooth.

If you are only playing basic games and mostly working - get the macbook pro

If you are mostly gaming and need the performance - get the blade

I'd highly recommend you build your own desktop system if you don't need the portability. You'd be getting much better performance for your money in the listed programs you want to use.

If you really need the portable power. I'd look at laptops with Quad core i7's such as the i7 4700HQ or higher. These will give you 8 threads too, which will make a big difference. Ideally I'd recommend 16GB of RAM as Adobe CC/CS6 will use up whatever you've got. A dedicated GPU would be ideal but isn't a must have. Something lower end like an 850m would increase your rendering speed with some cuda acceleration and not cost too much.
