That attitude is the whole problem that cryptocurrencies currently have.  People are seeing them as a way to speculate and get more "real" money.

Older generation just needs to go. Their lack of understanding of how technology works and their need to keep everything under tight control makes hardly any sense in the tech world.

Percentages really don't mean anything to me if I don't have actual numbers to go along with it.
 
For example, what if in Mar 2012 the total number of devices was 1 billion and today the total number is 2.5 billion? That doesn't tell me the PC market is dying. It's just stale.

Windows numbers are not going down, Android numbers are going up. There's a direct correlation between those two freaking line. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand it. normal cellphones are disappearing. Even super cheap phones have Android installed on them nowadays.

people are forgetting though, that legit windows 10 is almost $100 just for the home version.
if a consumer pays $100 for a product, they should damn well be getting an ad-free experience.

i would just say consider consoles are using AMD's chips and expect to see more game developers ditching Intel's biased and expensive compiler

please don't start the elitism a ps4 has its own place, "weak" ps4 sold over 54 mil unit personally i love it with psvr and psp vita. Ryzen is a new chip, it needs time to settle in.

PSVR says hi and laughs at PC VR sales. Not a console fan but not ignorant of how well consoles sell, 30 fps is a terrible way to look at this.
 
Consoles have always sold very well, sales numbers are easily found. Why do you think game developers are console first and PC port so much now, much better sales.

Anyone who thinks Ryzen is as bad as Bulldozer is already ignoring evidence, so I wouldn't plan on further evidence changing their minds. Ryzen suffers from some frustratingly familiar problems, but it's already a more competitive product than Bulldozer.

Coffee lake isn't supposed to be a huge improvement over Kaby Lake, from what I've read/seen.  It's even staying on 14nm.

There is no reason for their to be a fuss. These are basically just presets for BIOS that anyone could manually do him or herself.

My R4BE already has inbuilt OC and settings tweaks for CPUs I install in to it, this is nothing new..... So they gave them specific names related to benchmark tools, OMG stop the press.
 
Seriously those very same settings could help in other use cases too, you don't HAVE to use them in the specific named application.
 
Anyone also considered this is just controlling how the boost works? Like bias all core equal boost versus only boosting 4 cores or 1 core to get best results.

There we go, someone who gets it. I think people just want to make news for the sake of something they are a bit scared of.

If they price them in the usual Intel pricing plan, let's say $2.000 this time, they won't be crushing anything
