I've looked, but it's the longest one I have. This is a secondhand unit, so maybe the original owner is keeping the longer one for himself. Either way, I may order some custom sleeved cables soon anyways.

honestly didn't expect that. Try it in the system again. Make sure everything is seated.Did it click then? Make sure your using the correct modular cables and the one that came with the psu.

I think it would be cool if they took a ps4 or xbone + a few games, and sold those to get a budget. Then they would either have to match or beat the performance of the ps4 + xbone.

Thats where the problem comes in, I'm absolutely incompetent at OC'ing. I could never dream of getting 4.7-5 GHz out of my 8320 with my skill set. But maybe I should learn, and save myself $300.

Growing up, I had very, very slow and crappy computers. All those computers had the "Intel inside" badge, so I now associate intel with slow, terrible computers. I know that Intel is better, but I just have an irrational fear of Intel due to my early childhood experiences.

Why sacrifice a  660ti instead of the case?

To be fair, AMD owns the console market, and as of 2015 thats nearly 22 million units. I dont know how much money they get from each sale, but still, 22 million APUs...
 
On a more personal note I recognize that Intel is superior, but am still an AMD person. This is primarily because growing up, my family always seemed to have the crappiest computers. Laptops that would take minutes to boot, slow, buggy desktops, crappy school computers, all with the Intel badge on them. I've just grown up associating Intel with slow and crappy computers, a stigma I still can't get over. My first laptop had an AMD A10 in it, and that computer blew me away. Even though at the time it was the newest computer in my household for maybe 7 years. So to this day I still associate AMD with faster systems and Intel with sluggish pieces of garbage. It's wrong, I know, but it's amazing what conditioning can do.
