I need more power, don't I...

I have a Corsair cx 500M PSU, and just got a line on an insane deal on a 9590. I currently have an 8320 and strix 970, OC'd to 1213 mv. I probably can't get a new mobo and this CPU with my current psu, right?

 

Rest of specs:

Seagate Barracuda 1TB

120GB Sandisk SSD

8 GB A-Data RAM @1600 MHz

 

New mobo I'd get would be a Gigabyte Ga-990FXA-UD3

Technically no, you could make it work... but 220w out of the box... eh. I'd personally get a 650 for oc purposes.

dont bother upgrading, its the same cpu just extremely overclocked

If you put a high OC on your 8320, you could match the performance of the 9590. And, I'd bet a bigger PSU

Thats where the problem comes in, I'm absolutely incompetent at OC'ing. I could never dream of getting 4.7-5 GHz out of my 8320 with my skill set. But maybe I should learn, and save myself $300.

 

Saying that makes it seem like I really should learn. Yeah, I'll do that instead.

there is not going to be a big diffrence so you basicly should just invest some in a cooler, or into a i7/i5
